If the Anti gunnies get any brady law type bans with the new administration, I'm going straight to my dealer and buy 2 decked out AR / M4 style rifles. Oh my credit card is gonna hurt. I think one will be chambered in .223 and the other probably a .308. Heavy free floated fluted barels. I hear DPMS is making good rifles these days. Whatcha think?

Is that your scope dope taped to the stock of your savage? .243 is a bad ass round....sweet ballistics. I used to have one of those Rugers, but in the P95 DC.

Yep that's the dope on the scope. Handy lil ballistics chart out to 500 yds. I love the .243. Some people say it's a "marginal" deer round and I beg to differ! That lil cheap rifle is a deer slaying machine. My daughter shoots it with awesome precision too. You can shoot that baby all day long without getting shooters shoulder. Great predator round too. I believe the 6mm class (especially the .243) is the best "all purpose" rounds ever made.

Those Rugers aren't the prettiest or tightest guns ever made but they are one thing for sure. A reliable, low matinence work horse. I love it for that reason.

I havn't heard a lot of good on the bushmasters as far as accuracy is concerned. I'll have to pass on that one. Thanks though.

I have never really had a problem with accuracy, but it is 1:9 twist and my Rock RIver and Colt are 1:7, which i prefer. I had a .257 Roberts light weight mountain rifle that I loved, but hit a rough patch in college and had to sell it.....I still miss that weapon....
