What does everybody drive?

I drive a 2008 mazdaspeed 3, nice little road burner which suits my practical side with 4 doors and a hatch, and bit of excitement when you feel like burning down the interstate.

I drive a 1991 Toyota Corolla DX. I'm the original owner, it was my first car, and will probably be my first and only car for many more years to come. It's peppy, it's very easy on gas, in fact, visiting the gas station is a rare and pleasant occurrence. 32 MPG.

If I was in a place and of the means to have a car, it would definitely be something like this. Pretty much any black hot-hatch - they all look great. I do love an Audi, though.

Because of my job - I have to drive far more than I'd like and it has to be reliable - and carry a lot - and cheap to run.

So it's a Fiat Doblo van/people carrier diesel 1.9 JTD. Frankly it's cheap and boring. Members of my band have likened it to an orthapedic shoe in design. Man I miss my mondeo!

2003 Honda Civic SI.

Small hatch back, gets 30 miles per gallon and has 190 H.P.! (They use the same engine as in the Honda CRV, SUV.) Great car for me. 8) It has sport suspension and a few other extras. I love driving it in the snow, feels like a rally car.

Just had her detailed (I don't clean my cars, so I have to pay people to do it once every decade or so). 90,000 miles. Will probably last me through this depression. Need to get the Plaid CD unjammed from her player, though. Sucks to have to listen to politics on the radio. It's either that or current pop music. :?

ugh, I hate radio, I even hated satellite radio when I had it, except for H. Stern the first year. I'm tired of politics and I'd rather perform a self-vasectomy than listen to current pop music! ops:

Yeah, man, I used to love listening to the radio up until about ten years ago or so, and Stern was so much fun for so many years. The only way I can handle radio music now is if I'm on a long road trip as a sort of Americana injection, but even then I tend to listen to older stuff. Talk radio is right out, unless it's NPR, and even that is hit or miss. I find their folk/Celtic/bluegrass shows to be amazing, though, and could listen to that shit all day, even though I've never bought a CD of the stuff. Coast to Coast is still fun in the wee hours.

No, you're right; radio just plain sucks these days. :x Clear Channel owns damn near everything, and that means you hear what they want you to hear....which is the same songs every hour on the hour. Satellite radio is better, but I just don't want to pay for it. I stick to listening to cd's when I drive...

pony: Yeah, that one hurt. :shock: Some asshole cut me off on the freeway, and I locked up the brakes. The car spun 180* into the next lane over; nothing sucks worse than sliding backwards at about 60 mph and seeing nothing but headlights speeding towards you....I felt bad for the lady in the truck who hit me because there was no way she could avoid the hit. We both came out of it with very minor injuries, though. If I had been driving anything else, I'm sure I'd be dead. They made them solid back then!
