I don't know many gay gentlemen in person but i listen to gay musicians and love their work. But i do know a good few lesbian/bisexual females who are the nicest people out - like really nice people.

just want to comment on this as well.... penetration of the anus is not a homosexual activity. It is a sexual activity. There is an "O" spot in the anus. It is plesurable to all humans. The stress, and tention, (emotional) and physical friction causes the pain.

Homosexuality is the FEELINGS one has for the same sex.

My friend and his partner have been together 35+ years, and neither of them have anal sex. Still gay. My other friend and HIS girlfriend experiment with differnt types of sex from tantric, "butt" play, and mutual masterbation. They are still straight. The biggest thing is people need to be open minded.... Trying different things could change your life for the better.

Used to work with a gay guy. Real cool dude, was always willing to tell us about bears, badgers, twinks, twanks, twonks. Was really surprising when he said he and most of the gay people he knows are "tops" so neither of them really likes to be penetrated, they just like dudes. When he first told me that i just imagined a bunch of gay rednecks holding up picket signs protesting that 2 tops were allowed to be together.

reffering to homosexuality as something incongruent and pathological ; and then proposing that it should be in some way modified to make it more acceptable ... you don't have to call that homophobia it's just plain insensitive and disrespectful .... homophobia here describing the OP's words ; it's a useful umbrella term , but yes it is ultimately empty and meaningless like all words when divorced from it's function and context to satisfy all the Wittgensteinians who may be listening- although i think Wittgenstein himself would have probably taken offense at the OP's post , himself being a homosexual
