I ordered the portioned and loose mix on buysnus, and I ordered a total of 10 cans for a roll and a point. Hopefully I get some good stuff with this, and I really excited as all I have had to try so far was the Camel Snus I get with coupons. Is it that much different? I'd like to hear =)

Yes!!!!! Different, very, very different

As a long time snuser (by this boards standards at least), I predate Camel. In many ways, I think I had a much easier time of moving to snus, cause my expectations on taste were already low. So it was a pleasant surprise for me from day one how good it was, and it got so much better once I got used to the salt.

Swedish is so unlike Camel, and no brand even comes close. Camel is SWEET. even sweet Swedish snus is much more muted in flavor. Your first few days, ALL you will probably taste is salt. Be prepared for that. But after less than a week, your body get used to the salt, and the flavor of it fades into the background.

If you read, there are some threads where Camel folks are struggling to make the transition. But you will read that as they gave Swedish a chance, it really started to grow on them. But just be prepared that the taste experiences will be completely different.

As for Buysnus and their rewards program. Unless they recently changed it, you don't get a point for buying 10. You actually have to buy a roll to get that. Mix and match doesn't count. I wish it did!! I have been doing this going on 20 months now. I have so many favorites, I can buy 40 or 50 cans without ever buying a roll. But I do buy 3 brands by roll, as I use them a bit more than anything else. Mocca +, Nick & Johnny, & Elyxr Power. So I get a deal every once in a while. But my rolls are at best 20% of what I buy.

I have 1 point because I chose the The Mix where they choose 10 cans for you. So I guess there is a point involved because you have no say in what you get, sorry for the confusion. I hope I get some good stuff!

Points, scmoints. Once you get the snus, I promise you, points will be your least concern. :lol:

Please let us know when you get it. I think we have done a decent job prepping you to expect the different. I think that helps a BIG way in being open to Swedish snus for what it is.

I got my snus today!!

So I placed my order on Sunday morning on buysnus, and here it is on Thursday morning perfectly packaged!! I am not dissapointed in reading up on where to buy snus on this forum.

So here is what I got:

Jakobsson's Classic large portion
Jakobsson's Ice Fruit large portion
Taboca portion
Offroad American Wintergreen long cut
Offroad American Wintergreen loose
Tre Ankare white portion
Goteborgs Prima Fint loose
Kronan original portion
Kronan loose
Phantom Classic loose

I am wondering how this selection is? I have heard some good stuff about Goteborgs Rape but I don't know much about the others. I am trying the Jakobsson's Ice Fruit now, and I expected more fruitiness but it was salty when I first put it in! Now its pretty good =). Thank you all for prepping me for this. Let me know what to think of this selection!
