I heard that this forum was hacked and whoever did it really trashed the place. I know snuson isn't here to make money and it's not like snuson has an IT team at their beckon call so I have a feeling a lot of this was fixed through sweat and volunteer effort. I just wanted to thank whoever fixed our home!

Indeed. Our admin has been pulling overtime trying to get everything sorted. We still have a nagging dns issue where the site goes awol, but that's out of our control. There's also some small tweaks going on. Since we're starting over, it's a good time to try stuff out.

Many thanks for those working to restore Snuson. I think lxskllr is right about the DSN issue.

For instance, I still can't access Snuson with my regular web browser. All I get is "Site is currently down for maintenance." or "Unknown database 'ANK'"

I am signed in now using the Turbo feature of the Opera browser which is routed through Opera's servers in Norway. And this seems to be acting as a proxy with a different DSN.

I suspect many regular members are still offline.

Yeah, given hardly anyone is posting, most probably still cannot access. I was able to access a couple days ago but then it was gone today (until now). Good luck guys getting it back together.

The only thing that sucks about all of this is that the Friends List is gone... Snusgetter was listed as a friend, and for me, it was a nice little reminder of him whenever I visited my profile page.

If anyone's interested, we have two themes now. The classic which has the nice orange, but ugly green, and the blue which is a vB default, but nice looking. Use the switcher on the bottom.

Well, given my sarcastic view of the world, I already speculated that the owners of Snuson had been bought by anti-tobacco terrorists (you know, Al Qaida (spelling?), the EU-commission, or some similar organisation).

Thankfully, it isn't as I expected, and I want to thank everybody who is involved, that Snuson is online again.

This evening, I hope that the AFD (the only really eurosceptic German party) has made it into the parliament - which isn't clear yet and still depends on +/- 0.1 % of the votes, which are still being counted out.
