Reminds me of the Y2K non-event.

Actually, I seem to remember that the y2k event did happen. I was drunk as a punk, though, so my recollections are a bit hazy. What I am certain of is that the event must have been terrible. I was sick for a week afterwards.

Y2K is a bad subject to bring up around me... At the time, my asshole boss expected me to be on site at the stroke of midnight!

Needless to say she didn't get her wish because I was attending an End of the World party in another city.

I was in Las Vegas that night. Y2K was a little on my mind but my thoughts were if it was the end of the world that I was going out in a party.

Something is definately up with FEMA and the recent buy up's of food, guns and ammo but predictive exact dates of doom are usually wrong.

Sorry for the buzz kill but the Federal governments fiscal year ends on Sept 30th this year and I'd imagine that if they don't spend the money budgeted to them they don't get it next year.
Of course the Abominable Care Act kicks in the 1st so yeah the poop may hit the fan.
