THANKS Sagedil, vacations went fantastic.. now I'm having a hard time to:
      - go back to work
      - adjust from summer to winter
      - loose the 4 pounds I gained with the excellent Quebec beer
      - write in english after two month of living in french

besides that.. I'm happy to be back

        WELCOME BACK :!:

You can send those 4 pounds to me.................as long as I get to pick WHICH 4 pounds.
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

yeah Sagedil, congrats! I just started my new part time job, it's total cake and pays well enough. 4-5 hours daily on Sat. and Sun. The perfect gig to get me back into working life after a year of unemployment because of school and severe/scary health problems. It's just enough hours that I can pay off some bills and keep stocked on snus while I continue to look for a 'career'.

            ponysoprano, that sounds perfect!!!

It really is easier to get a job, when you already have one. And the number of hours you are working doesn't come into play, it's just that you have the "working" aura around you and it affects both you and how people percieve you.

I have never been without some work these past 5 years. I have a similar gig as yours. I work PT for my ex-wife's familey buisness. I do all the tech support, including an extensive backup & test routine each weekend. I also do all the accounts recievables. Best thing, I can do it any time in the weeknd I want. I have often been here at 2:00 AM in the morning getting work done. 3 out of 4 weeks, it's only about 6 hours a week. One weeke out of 4, I have to get statements out, and that is a 15 hour weekend. This is statement week, they are printing right now.

But that little money was critical at times when I didn't have anything else. Plus, just doing something kept me fresh and focused when I was looking. And the 5 year tenure here covers up for some of my recent job hopping.

So congratulations to you too. For very different reasons, we both are working on putting our lived back together ponysoprano. I wish you all the luck, and rooting hard for you!!!
