Ok, back to some fishing and hunting plus some nature photos:
Here is some deep sea fishing photos out in the Gulf of Alaska with some of the boys. Do this once a year and fill the freezer with halibut, pacific cod, rock fish, yellow eye, and ling cod. This is me standing in the bow of the fishing boat.Click image for larger version

Frosted, that makes sense. I can imagine a whole flock of white Suffolk ewes up there just grazing away on the hill. Very nice. Is that in the North of England?

Yup, Croatia was a vacation, I live in Estonia, just south of Finland. So every summer I go to there to fish and generally have a good time, here we have a lot less fish thanks to illegal fisherman who use explosives, illegal nets etc to catch fish...
Mainly you can fish for European perch, pike and common roach from rivers/lakes and flounder, pike and whitefish in sea

Kevs, Croatia and Finland are pretty far apart. Was Croatia just a vacation?

Ice fishing is fun. Here it is for burbot, char, pike, and lake trout. This is the time of year people do it, because it is warm but there is still lots of ice around.

    Great view indeed!

I do fish, mostly during summer in Finland and here in Estonia, but did few sessions this winter on ice too.

Frankie, is that your native Slovakian forest? You are doing the typical "dad" thing: chasing kids in the woods is hard work lol!

    Few years ago in Croatia

Kevs, that must be the awesome view of the Croatian Mediterranean ocean, right? Looks like a great spot! Do you fish?

When the salmon are "running" (trying to make it up river) you stay on the beaches like this:

You take turns sleeping on the ground. The fish suddenly surge and the person "on watch" wakes you and you all grab your nets and run back into the ocean. This usually takes a couple of days but it is around the clock with brief breaks.

This is my relaxation spot at work. Typical English countryside. It's a terrible photograph though...just doesn't show the beauty off a cellphone.

Frosted, is that an agricultural area? I imagine that has been grazed by sheep. I think England has a very beautiful country. Just like the old song "And did those feet in ancient times, walk upon England's mountains green".
