I would ask for you to define "freedom" here. Because no moderator wants to encroach on anyone's right to speak their mind, or to dissent in any way. We/I love hearing other people's opinions and many times, hearing the other side of any argument, when put forth thoughfully...will change my own stance on an issue. This however, is the problem, because there are many times that a thread get's out of control, and I'm no cherry here...I've been involved in them (wrongfully so), but I think it's because we all know that we can "get away" with the name calling and baiting,etc.

What I've proposed is that we simply update the ToU to include a few rules of decorum. Not to infringe on anyone's right to speak their mind, merely to do so in a respectful and dignified manner. I don't think that's too much to ask. In my mind, members that feel this is a bad idea, just don't want to be bound by this, and what does that say about that member? Not really talking about you Aram, just in general. In the real world, people have to behave better, because if they speak poorly to someone that someone might just smack them in the mouth, lol. How is this forum any different. As members, we have to bound by some rules and for the most part, I think we ALL adhere to them, but there are the few that come and go that do not. If those few, cost us new members, we might as well shut the doors, IMO.

I am not sure. I really don't like censorship but I also like to see a forum with a positive and productive atmosphere. I do think some of the posts involving parents genitelia went too far but I also like the idea of being bound by common sense rather than a set of rules. I would love to see a poll on this. Perhaps the forum members can give their input on what rules, if any, should exist.

So just curious... people have said there were two offending parties. Tracer I know of, but who was the other one?

Also, big thanks to the mods who took care of this. I tried ignoring them, but they were really grinding my gears...
