So the US doesn't have a military jet in the sky at all times - ok. I know the U2 used to fly all the time but that's only a reconnaisance plane. Your intelligence agencies must have been red hot around that time - spooks are everywhere and intelligence was in fact distributed before the attacks (but supposedly ignored) so why wasn't there a jet in the air just in case?
