Obamas Health Care Reform "Obamacare" yea right

Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

Made me sick to put him in office... now he is going to try to kill me with his health care plan. This guy gotta go! I see how the American people got the "hope and change" he was preaching. I just wonder if the people are stupid enough to give him another 4 years to complete his socialist agenda!

Okay that is just delusional waz3rm, cummon man. You think that the healthcare reform act is going to kill you? This will improve the lives of millions and make LESS people sick, since they now have health insurance. Nothing is changing as far as medical care, and no one is trying to kill you.

but the videos are true. Once you get to a certain age any life threatening/serious/expensive procedures you might require it will have to be approved by a panel of [I think] 15 people. If they turn you down you have 2 choices........pay for the procedure yourself or die.

There were many other things thrown in with that healthcare bill that have nothing to do with healthcare. Apparently there were so many pages very few people actually read it. I read somewhere that beginning sometime in 2013 if you sell your house you are liable to pay 3.8% of the sale in taxes.

            Ahhh, death panels.

This rumor started back in 2009.

Of all the falsehoods and distortions in the political discourse this year, one stood out from the rest.

            "Death panels."

The claim set political debate afire when it was made in August, raising issues from the role of government in health care to the bounds of acceptable political discussion. In a nod to the way technology has transformed politics, the statement wasn't made in an interview or a television ad. Sarah Palin posted it on her Facebook page.
It wasn't the first time opponents of the Democratic plans for health care had raised the specter of euthanasia. In February, the conservative editorial page of the Washington Times compared plans for more funding for health information technology with eugenics programs instituted in Nazi Germany.

Democrats in the House introduced a bill July 14 that closely mirrored President Barack Obama's campaign promises on health care. The bill increased regulation of insurance companies, proposed a national health insurance exchange where individuals and small business could shop for plans, expanded health programs for the poor, and gave incentives to doctors and hospitals for efficiency and improved care. It did not promote euthanasia.

On July 16, Betsy McCaughey, the former lieutenant governor of New York and a conservative health care commentator, suggested that the Democratic plan included a measure requiring seniors be told how to end their lives. "Congress would make it mandatory — absolutely require — that every five years people in Medicare have a required counseling session that will tell them how to end their life sooner," she said on a radio show hosted by conservative Fred Thompson.

PolitiFact gave McCaughey a Pants on Fire rating for that statement. There were no mandatory sessions proposed. Instead, for the first time, Medicare would pay for doctors' appointments for patients to discuss living wills, health care directives and other end-of-life issues. The appointments were optional, and the AARP supported the measure.
Nevertheless, Republican officials began amplifying McCaughey's comments.

I listened to his interview with Howard Stern a few years ago, that man is funny as hell.

Those kids in the background couldn't even keep a straight face when the pastor mentioned Barack's mack-daddiness.

C'mon - if you fear that this "socialist healthcare" will ruin your country just look at several European countries like Denmark, Norway, Sweden and France. We're doing great, and our healthcare system works. Everyone get's free and great healthcare regardless of pretty much anything - And it's working. Our healthcare and taxes have greatly improved our economic status, and this is especially true for Norway. Give it a chance, and if it doesn't work, I'll come over there and fix that shit.

PP, in the existing system the insurance company makes that decision. In "Obamacare" nothing is changing really, it's not like the state will say "this person is too much of a burden on the system, pull the plug". In this system, the insurance company can not cut you off if you get sick like cancer or something, in this system you will be covered no matter what. That is a significant improvement if you ask me.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. We're screwed. sgregor I have respect for you but this Obamacare is very bad medicine. Another government entitlement in what was once the land of the free and the home of the brave. We have become a bunch of whining babies, looking for free stuff. Free market solutions can fix healthcare, Federal government screws up almost everything that they touch. I am not now, nor have I ever been interested in a fundamental transformation of our great country. I am a Conservative/libertarian and I make no apologies for that. I will be working hard from now until November to make sure that we send Obama and his minions packing. Mitt Romney was not my first choice by any stretch of the imagination, but I am all in for him now.

                            That is all.

This is already a socialist country, but the socialism largely goes to the corporations. The free market is a myth. If my choices are socialism that benefits companies, or socialism that benefits me, I'll take me every time. Fsck the companies. I'd rather not have socialism at all, or only very minimal socialism anyway. Public roads can be considered socialist if you use a strict definition.
