    In the process of moving

My company is closing a deal on 8 restaurants in the Greenville / Spartanburg area so the family and I are moving.

I wasn't quite ready to commit to moving to South Carolina so we moved to a nice farm house about 100 yards or so north of the border

So to all you SC folks, howdy!

I lived in North Crackylacky for a few years, and spent a lot of time in South Carolina. Decent place with decent folks. I like how you changed your location in your profile to "100 yards north of south carolina" lol.

    Where were you living before?

Out in western NC right near the entrance to the smokeys.

I'm actually digging the SC upstate area so far. Fast freeways, civilization 20 minutes away and I get to look at horses each morning when I leave and when I come home. Nice and relaxing!

I'm not really familiar with the Carolinas. I went down there to see the Dead once, but didn't see much of the surrounding area. So you used to live in the foothills, and you're in the flatlands now? I think I'd miss the mountains. I'd like to live in MD mountains. I always feel at home when I go west, and there's fewer people.

In that case.......I love to live next to a Hooters.

            good luck with the move.
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

of course if he left the Smokeys it will be a little drop in altitude depending on where he was.......... and is

Haha about the mountain size. Its all a matter of perspective I guess. We own Arby's restaurants down here Snusdog.

****ing love Arbys. I really wish we had more. I have seen them slowly close every location in california. We are down to maybe 1 per major city now I've seen so many close over my years, and each time I die a little inside.

Yeah, It's tough out there now. We have gotten very lean in the last 5 years or so. It's been especially hard for us since we have so few stores compared to the big players. We just went private last year and that is helping some. The new owners are restaurant people so that's a positive.

My company just grew from 34 to 42 restaurants so that's pretty good! Additional cash flow should lighten the load and give us a fighting chance at growing again.
