With all the BS going on with corporate control of the arts, it would be best to tell them to go fsck themselves. Support those that respect your rights, and aren't out to extract every last penny from your pocket.

I recently discovered libre.fm. They have some good tunes you probably haven't heard before, and they're run on entirely libre software. Here's a short list, what do you all have?

Great post LX! I think that as they crack down on piracy (many of the major torrent sites have been shut down this week after the MegaUpload debacle), consumers should start leaning more towards "libre" artists as you put it. Sending $20 to an artist with no label is like buying 20 CD's from a regular artist like Britney Spears, the label keeps most of the money to pay for "distribution/promotion" and the artist gets like 2 pennies for every song sold.
