From the latest models it looks like she will hit north of us. Even so I'm in the foothills so the mountains and long trek inland usually knock the legs out from under any sea faring storm.

I have a sister who is on the cost..........they were originally planning on evacuating...............(and will if the storm takes a turn) but as it looks now Irene will pass by the SC cost.

That said, Hugo and Katrina were more than enough to impress upon me that you don't fool around with Hurricanes
