Bring back the memories.. I remember when timberlands production went overseas and that's when I stopped buying them.. I remember going into a Rich's to get a pair and learned they were no longer American made and therefore not cool anymore.. (I was young)

I still think there is a place for quality products though.. For example, I would have not purchased my icetool box if I thought it was made in China..(please tell me it's not) At least not for the price I paid.. I bought it because it's a well crafted product that is manufactured with pride in a country which I feel good about supporting..

Damn...that's why I love snuson...I learn something new everytime I visit! Now to find some materials made by fairly paid, adult workers. I purposely left "American" out of the description because as much as I <3 my country, I know some fine flyfishing stuff comes from across the pond.

Thats OK - I am waiting for the day that the Chinese start making snus and sell it over here for $3.79 a roll at Wal Mart!

I am just kidding of course. Swedish snus is one of the few products around that still use craftsmanship to produce their product and I hope that never changes!

Most of the fishing and camping gear that I purchase is second hand Australian,American or European made. It's cheaper than the Chinese garbage and will always last longer. An increasingly large percentage of what we find on our supermarket shelves comes from China also. That is a worrying sign,if I've ever seen one.
