OK my kid wants an airsoft gun for his birthday and I am strongly considering it. I have been looking on the net and at Eric's favorite store and cannot figure these things out. Some of them seem like crap and cost $99. Other ones look great and cost $20. What's the catch? Unfortunately most of the ones in the store come in that plastic shell so you can't really feel it before you buy it. I know I don't want anything I will have to keep buying CO2 cartridges for or something that will spray thousands of plastic pellets over the yard within seconds. Any recommendations for a good quality airsoft gun that is fun and accurate?
Also, these guns look fairly harmless and the kids actually shoot each other with them. Other than getting shot in the eye, are there any risks to these guns?
