We never learn in this country. Why do we keep thinking that some idiot is going to jump in out of the blue and save us all? Trump? The master of taking personal property by imminent domain and filing for bankruptcy. Trump the same guy who makes Simon Cowell look like an all around nice guy an gentleman. Really? I would rather vote for Obama over Trump any day and I really don't care for Obama that much. Why can't someone who is smart, graceful and diplomatic be chosen to run for president?

Interesting question GoVegan. The years long presidential vetting process does not strongly select for those qualities, to put it mildly. However even if it did I'm not sure ultimately how relevant any of that would be. If a candidate's political proclivities are entirely at cross-purposes with our own then it's doubtful that it will matter much at all that the opposing candidate possesses those qualities even in near superhuman abundance. It might matter to that slice of the electorate we like to call "independents" but I'm skeptical even then.

His first order of business will be handing out more tax cuts to huge mega-nationals that already don't pay taxes and will probably give a bunch of kickbacks to all of his business buddies. This isn't any different than Obama, but trump has a much larger book of business he carries around with him, he could probably do a lot more damage than Obama if he chose to.
I think this is the most important point made so far. That'll be the last nail in the coffin, and even the pretense of autonomous government will finally be discarded, and it'll be owned by the corporations 100%. I like Trump's no bullshit approach, but as has been already pointed out, Trump is about Trump. I don't think he as any greater vision than what's best for him. I won't vote for him regardless of party, and I won't vote for Republicans or Democrats regardless of who's running. The 1 party system in this country has to end. Those clowns play the people like a fiddle, fostering the retarded "go team" mentality, when it's the same party their voting for, regardless of title. Obama's the same as Bush, is the same as Clinton. A 1 party system....

Obama, Trump together for correspondents' dinner

                  http://www.mercurynews.com/entertain...nclick_check=1

WASHINGTON—President Barack Obama is shifting from consoler to comic for his appearance before a mix of politicians, celebrities and journalists at Washington's premier black-tie dinner. And some of his most prominent would-be rivals are in attendance, including Donald Trump.

The billionaire businessman was among those who arrived Saturday for the White House Correspondents' Association annual dinner, after a week when he challenged the president on conspiracy theories about his birthplace and the White House released Obama's detailed Hawaii birth certificate.

Either way, I think he's going to make this election a helluva show but I don't think he will beat Obama. I may be wrong though, like truthwolf points out things are a little different now, we'll have to see. Like everyone trump has pros and cons.
That was my fault. It was technically the third line :P

Seth Meyers put the slapdown on Trump at the White House Correspondent’s Dinner

Seth Meyers cracked me up tonight. He headlined the White House Correspondent’s Dinner tonight. He came down hard on both the Democrats and the Republicans, but he reserved his real venom for Donald Trump. He went hard at Trump, and it was gratifying to watch Trump sit there and take it. One of Meyers jokes was in reference to Trump saying he has a great relationship with “the blacks”, Meyers said the “only way that is true is if he is talking about a white family whose name is Black”. Trump couldn’t leave so he sat there stone face. He is used to being at the microphone spewing nonsense. He loves the spotlight, and being the center of attention. Well, tonight he was the center of attention, but he was also the butt of the joke and The Donald definately did not like that.

Trump is going to have a hard time, meaning they will come at him with all they have. But Trump's a tough guy, I think he can give as he gets. But Trump's not much of a comedian.

Seems like the forum is having a slow down in activity,

I think we should bring back the banned people.

Anyway, I am suprised no one mentioned The Donald said he was not going to run for Prez.
                          What a letdown!
I really was hoping he was "The One".

That's life though, it usually just slowly gets worse.

Anyway, I need to change my pic at the bottom, and I'll vote Ron Paul, and hope for the best!

Was hoping he would run in the Rep. primary but with Obama's Osama-con and the drooling collectivist goy's we are heading towards another 4 years towards the eventual American bread lines to continue fighting the endless war.

Meh. Trump is an egotistical clown. At best.
