I like Ron Paul, but he's the sleepy grandpa. Obama would beat him easy, and I wish it wasn't so. Of all the possibles, I think Trump is the only one with the machismo to do it.

Isn't Paul some kind of libertarian isolationist? I'm pretty sure you'd be out of your future naval career if Paul was running things. He wouldn't have much use for the Navy other than a few voluntary libertarian militias patrolling the coast line in bass boats or something. We'd be a libertarian paradise, just like Somalia!

As I said earlier in this thread my little dog would beat the community organizer. Yes incumbents are difficult to beat, but that is not going to be the case this time.

Perhaps you live in a different America than me, but last I recall the forefathers strategy was libertarian isolationism, whereby we would have an army strong enough to defeat the queen herself, but not use it for any purpose other than defending America. You know, that crazy whacko nutbag libertarian idea of using the defense budget for actual defense as opposed to offense, for not wasting taxpayer money to overthrow other governments and occupy hundreds of countries to the tune of trillions or to wage endless wars against invisible enemies just so that we can justify all the money we are giving to the military industrial complex?

Yah, **** those nutters, it would be like somalia over here if we did crazy shit like that.

Jdman321 will serve his time in the navy regardless of whether Ron Paul gets elected or not. The spigot pouring billions of dollars into the hands of defense contractors isn't going to turn off anytime soon regardless of who gets elected.

@Tom, I agree, Ron Paul isn't the kind of showman todays elections require. Trump has a serious chance, much more so than Ron Paul at this point, but Obama will win, the elections are probably rigged anyways.

            That is absolutely BADASS.
He wasn't pussyfooting around about it.
He laid it down, just like it was - like it needed to be said.
            Absolutely badass.

I feel like the rest of the republicans:

A 56 percent majority of Republican voters told a CBS News/New York Times poll that none of the names officially or unofficially in the hat at this stage made them feel enthusiastic as potential nominees.

              http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-503544_1...97-503544.html

Where Trump's support is coming from is clear — 23 percent of the GOP voters say they will only support a someone who doubts President Barack Obama's birthplace, and among those voters, Trump is surging. He gets more than a third of those who say they want a birther, while he gets less than 20 percent of those who aren't sure they want a birther at the top of their ticket.

With bullshit like this as the GOP's main issue, they will never win. I ****ing hate how Obama spends all day going on about how it's the last guys fault. Hey, GOP, listen up, I will not vote for you if your entire platform is "we just want to make Obama look bad". FIX MY ECONOMY. That is all.

He is a corporate type, meaning he's not one of us. His first order of business will be handing out more tax cuts to huge mega-nationals that already don't pay taxes and will probably give a bunch of kickbacks to all of his business buddies. This isn't any different than Obama, but trump has a much larger book of business he carries around with him, he could probably do a lot more damage than Obama if he chose to.

A vote for Obama in 2012 is a direct vote for torture, rendition, unlawful and indefinite imprisonment, denial of due process, warmongering, political prisoners and everything else we hate about America.
Your first line there is exactly what is wrong with America, IMO.

I'd like some facts to back up that last line. I don't recall Obama doing anything different than G-dubya.

That's the problem, Obama continued the same bullshit, but then took it a step further. He's trippled the war effort as far as spending (especially in afghanistan), started bombing things with drones in various neighboring countries that we aren't at war with, and now on top of all that we are in ****ing Libya.

Not sure what you mean, the part saying "What I don't like about trump", or the part talking about how he is shamelessly using this election cycle to get publicity?

Either way, I think he's going to make this election a helluva show but I don't think he will beat Obama. I may be wrong though, like truthwolf points out things are a little different now, we'll have to see. Like everyone trump has pros and cons.

the reason I would put a roll of snus on Trump is that he easily attracts all types of voters and would be able to really run a full fledged campaign like no other. Just think of all the talent that would be barking at his door just to get a chance to work on this. With being a part of the grass roots movement with Ron Paul I am only imagining the early possibilities of what this guy could drum up. Obama, will never achieve the same type of hurrah as he did the first time around and you also have to remember that his win was not that huge of a landslide either.

They have been rigged by ACORN for who knows how long. They could have at least thought up original names.

I bet during the election campaign, Obama's team is going to use race, and accuse all his opponents of being racists.
I think if, I and I hope, Trump runs, and is the nominee, if we(America) mess this up, like we did with Perot, then I guess "we", the collective we, not me, get what we deserve.

I like what he says, even how he says it, but he won't follow through. He's not a conservative. He's in bed with all of Obogie's buddies on the hill, every vile scumbag pole out of NY city, with only a sprinkling of RINO's but not many. He play's both sides against the other but he leans way left. Don't just listen to what he says. He's great at saying shit people want to hear. And I prefer his delivery method over Obama's any day. But look back at who he's supported and who he's donated to. Look back at old sound clips on You Tube. He's all over the map. He's the same as Obama in that regard. Everything he says has an expiration date. I'd rather have a candidate like Allen West. Tough, no nonsense message, consistent. No mamby pamby bullshit speeches full of lies and promises sure to be broken like our current TOTUS. I like Trump on business and entertainment, but I don't trust him in politics. Trump is all about Trump.
