We'll all be in straight-jackets soon with water fed to us on a drip.

      Wouldn't surprise me

We already have 'UK Chief Medical Officer's' warnings on our cans of beer/cider and bottles of wine telling us how many alcohol 'units' are contained and that men should consume no more than 4 units in a day and women 3.

        I probably consume much more.
A very good friend of mine just lost his mother to bowels cancer. She never smoked and only consumed very little alcohol on special occasions, and she did sports...

If we stopped doing everything that had a cancer risk, we wouldn't do much at all.

Life is for living, not for worrying.

Ironically if you do stop doing eveything you enjoy through fear of cancer you would most certainly become depressed which can cause cancer in itself.

              Hahaha!

Babies should get warning labels tattooed on them. "Warning - Life causes death."

Can you imagine alcohol being banned in Ireland, we,d all go feckin mad!!!! Guinness has been part of our diet for centuries!!! It seems to much of anything nowadays can give you cancer. Life is too short, we should
                  just enjoy it.

Why are they acting like this is new knowledge? I though this has been known for years.

If drink (feck, arse, girls) did in fact cause cancer - all the Irish would be extinct - me included.

I'm a County Antrim lad Bill.

No - what they will do is allow rotgut to be sold but ban good beer.
