In Alberta Canada, we export over a million barrels of oil each day, and around here the gasoline price has been up to $1.17 $CA/L, which is about 4.65 $US/gallon. I think the Saudi's pay less than a dollar per gallon, which is around $0.25/L. As a net exporter of oil, I'd say we're getting raped. Unlike the Norwegians, we have basically nothing to show for it either.

Currently the highest price I've seen here in Fort Smith, Arkansas is $3.73 per gallon. My job is around 5 miles away, so that good. I drive a truck with a 26 gallon tank and I am filling up twice a month, basically. Everytime I fill up I still have roughly 1/4 of a tank left, so at the current price per gallon I'm spending roughly $146.00 per month. I can live with that, I suppose.

Yeah one thing about Seattle is everyone does everything in the rain, otherwise we would never get anything done. People are out doing yardwork, mowing the lawns, etc. in the rain. Like Roo said, it's more like drizzle every day here, we actually only get about 38" of rain annually (except this year, much more), we just wrapped up 41 straight days of rain for instance and actually had a sunny day (only one though).
