I use Firefox at home, and Safari on the iPhone4, though currently exploring other mobile options....

Absolutely cannot stand IE, but may have to give Chrome a shot after the reviews in this thread. Is Chrome available for iPhone/iPad I wonder?

XP was a great operating system, but its time for you to upgrade. Windows XP is almost a decade old!

Go grab yourself a copy of Windows 7. You will not be disappointed.

Firefox 99% of the time, Chrome for the other 1%, if I have to. I like all of the add-ons, themes, and stability of Firefox but I also like the lightweight feel of Chrome.

Firefox wins for me because it was the first browser I switched to from IE and I'm used to just about everything it has to offer.

Yep! Win7 beats them all :^)

But Still XP is more stable and more friendly for home use.

Win 7 > XP in user security and having a more SU style permissions setup, if setup correctly.

It loses however in the jacked up way they changed Windows Home networking.

                      Use Linux instead.

Been trying out Dragon for a couple days now and aside from a glitchy download it seems to be working very well. It seems slightly faster than Safari but not enough to make it a clearly better choice in this regard. It does everything I need it to do but the advantages over Safari are so slight as to make little difference--so far.

Out of the box it has just worked for me - the key exchange deal was pretty sweet IMO.
The home networking setup is incompatible with just about everything but Windows 7 for file and print sharing. Can't see shares on a windows 7 box either through SMB from linux nor through XP. You can see others from 7 but 7 is locked to non 7 computers. Not really a big deal but it became an annoyance to me one day that but a stain on the shine windows 7 has been over the other versions.

I've not messed with interoperability on Windows 7 yet.

I'd imagine there are registry tweaks to make it work?
I hadn't tried mounting a Windows 7 file share from Linux, so I figured I would give it a try. I didn't have any problems viewing the share with the smbtree tool or mounting with smbmount.
