Any ideas or where you want to go? I have been toying with the idea myself but it is a difficult move to make. I mean within hours, or even less, we have mountains, forests, lakes and a beautiful ocean. I have traveled cross country 3 times when I was in the military and I haven't seen any state that offers so much.
Guys, need some legal advice

I have only been to a few states, but I personally like the desert. Utah, Texas, Arizona etc is what I was thinking. I agree, no place is better than Cali, but I can't afford to live a decent life here, so we will move somewhere else where housing is cheap and then someday return here once we have some money maybe.
It's just a question of getting a job really. I don't care where it is as long as there is work. We may have an opportunity to move for my wife's company, and if we can get it we'll take it. Other than that we could never move anywhere until we had enough money to live off of for a few months while we found work.

I have a real nice house in Mesa that I'll be selling soon. hint hint.Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......
I've been wrong lots of times. Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

shit, getting towed in the city sucks.... I almost got hit because I didn't realize that parking in front of a yellow capped parking meter means loading zone only! I fed the meter my 3.50 for parkin only 15 minutes to find a tobacconist down there in hopes of finding a new brand of snus other than General (I wanted new snus and hadn't started using Northerner yet). I walked away from my car for like five minutes and went back just as the tow truck was backing in! escaped with only a 75 buck ticket:/
I wish I could help more, but (obvious) try researching it?

I had the same car stolen 3 times and always had to dish out the impound fee (which went up every day) and a towing fee because they would not let you drive out with a broken steering column. Was about $300 bucks each time. All in all a government ass rape.
They dont investigate your average car theft but might randomely catch the plate on patrol. Instead of calling the owner that they found the car on so and so block they just impound it. Never do they brush for fingerprints, investigate etc.. lol. They dont care.

I'm sorry, how the hell did you have a bike with such a loan on it without having comprehensive coverage on the vehicle. Such things are usually clauses in your loan paper work.

That's not even bad man, when I went to handle my thing at the police station, the guy next to me had a way worse situation than even I did, check this out: He was hit by a drunk driver, he woke up in the hospital. Gets out of the hospital and has to pay thousands of dollars to get his car back. Doesn't have thousands of dollars, missed a day of work due to the accident, and has no health insurance so has a huge insurance bill. But they won't give his car back untill he pays, so they are selling his car too. Can you believe this shit?
I am going to set up a website to find others who this has happened to. If I can find enough than I am going to file a class action.

No they are not, only with cars. With mororcycles no such clause exists because the cost of insuring it for theft is the price of the actual bike itself. They could never sell a single motorcycle if it came with a mandatory $600 a month insurance policy. In CA anyone under 25 has to pay the full price fo the bike to insure it for theft, which obviousely defeats the purpose. Most companies won't even insure the motorcycle at all, all the big ones at least. And I don't even have any tickets or accidents since 2008 I think it was. It's what happens when you live ina city like Los Angeles or San Francisco, vehicle theft rates are too high so it isn't profitable for the insurance companies when it comes to motorcycles since they can be lifted onto a truck.
Oh, but I have to buy insurance for it before it is allowed to leave the lot... which is another expense I can't afford to pay while these fees compound daily, even on days when they are closed...

He may have been fully insured and not even known it.....
The place I wnet to only finnaced on revolving credit. It was right whenthe economy collapsed and Yamaha and them wouldn't even give out a regular loan even though my credit was perfect and I had money to put down.
I have to call them to see if they have any stake in this bike whatsoever. If they own part of the title, than I am goign to call them and make them use their resources to recover it, as they have more leverage than me. If it is all on me than I just have to let them sell it, there's no way I can get the money in time and the fee compounds quicker than I can make money so its not like I can save for it.

sgreger, damn I'm sorry to hear about this bullshit. I like Snusdog's suggestion the best. If you absolutely cannot get the bike out and you're going to wait around for the outcome anyway, write to your representatives and the mayor. Repeatedly. Good luck buddy.

That's my job for today, to write lots of letters asking for my representatives to advocate for me. They won't since I am probably written down as a registered libertarian around somewhere, but hopefully he will help me out. When I write him, what should it say, do people actually read the letters you send to your representative? Should it be short or thorough? Should it ask him for advice or demand that this injustice be stopped?
I have no experience with this, and I have a terrible temper. My letters degrade quickly in a manner such as this:
Starts out:
Dear Mr. Mayor,
It has come to my attention than an injustice is being perpetrated upon the people of your district,a nd I thought you should be made aware of it.
I PAY MY MOTHER-****ING TAXES YOU PIGS! THIS IS UNJUST AND I WIL NOT STAND FOR IT, SOMEDAY WHEN A MILLION PEOPLE SHOW UP ARMED ON THE STEPS OF YOUR OFFICE, YOU WILL KNOW WHY THEY ARE THERE YOU EXTORTIONIST FUC k! AND I'LL BE RIGHT THERE IN THE CROWD SELLIN THE AMMO!
This is why my day at the police station/dmv ended with a crowd of spectators watching the altercation that ensued after I flipped out, and I was able to escape right before the police arrived. This whole thing is pissing me off, but I will have my day in court and I will bring this city to it's knees I tell you!
