    Local news

As I'm the kind of guy who likes off topic, I thought I'd open a thread where you can post some weird, sad, funny and important news from your country, state, city or region.

    Here's what I found.

A Swedish truck was shooten at in the village of Moi, Rogaland county, Norway.
If it was intended to hit this truck, or if it was a random target isn't yet known. The police hasn't yet found the shooter, but as Moi is a village of 2000 inhabitants, it should be easy to find him on the list of registered guns and rifles. Illegal guns isn't common in this region of Norway, but there are some in "the projects" in Oslo.

The police's theory is that the person that shot the truck was a member of a local group against all the truck traffic in Moi. The town has no train station, so there are lots of trucks there. There's been a huge debate about limiting the truck traffic in the area in the local newspaper for a few months now.

Here's the pictures i found in the Norwegian newspaper VG.

Well based on the fact that there are two bullet holes, I would have to say the truck was the target. The one behind the driver's door is particularly concering, as I am sure the driver was the target but the shooter did not lead the shot.

One thing I forgot to say is that the driver wasn't injured. The police is sure that they wanted to hit a truck, but they don't if it was this particular truck they were aiming for. The driver was in shock, so je hasn't been able to talk to the police. He is taken care of by a local team of psychiatrists.

It’s not easy being a cat, especially when you’re Sal Esposito, a Boston feline who has been ordered to serve jury duty.
When Massachusetts couple Guy and Anna Esposito received a jury duty request in the mail for their kitty Sal, they were shocked.
“Sal is a member of the family, so I listed him on the last Census form under pets, but there has clearly been a mix-up,” Anna Esposito told local TV station WHDH. “I read the whole thing and I said, ‘Oh my God, how could he go? He’s a cat… [On the Census form], I just wrote ‘Sal Esposito,’ scratched out the ‘dog,’ and wrote ‘cat.’”
Anna Esposito filed for Sal’s disqualification of service, her justification being that Sal is “unable to speak and understand English.” Esposito even included a letter from the family veterinarian stating that Sal is a “domestic short-haired neutered feline,” but the jury commissioner denied this request.
Sal Esposito is still expected to serve jury duty in court on March 23.
