    SMPost

How popular was this website? I used to hear a lot about it, apparently it went down a few days ago, and it's for sale through domain buy for 69.99. I was thinking about buying it and just redirecting it to my website.

Or Northerner could buy it and redirect it to SnusOn. But then again, who wants our dip area flooded with 15 year olds? Ha!

I don't Chad. It had a fairly poor reputation amongst adults, or people that act like adults. While I appreciate what you have in mind, I don't think I'd want my name associated with them.

Okay that was what I was wanting to know. I didn't know what kinda rep they had, but yeah if it's bad I don't want them to associate that with my site.

Hmmm... it seems that it is now an ADULT content website. Go figure. A lot of 15 year olds are about to get a get a shock when instead of being able to read about Berry flavor Skoal, they will see some ass and titties.

Never heard of it either... What does the SM stand for? Swedish Match?

              It's not a content website

It's a parked domain... for some reason they've optimized it to show adult ads.

It receives 0 traffic though.. not worth $65.

Well, not sure what it meant then, but I know what the SM stands for now...

I think SMpost was popular, or it sure seemed like it. I did notice it was down for a while, but I would look in almost every day, and it always had new posts and threads, and people in chat. Yes, it did seem the average age there was 14, but it did also have some older members, and they did have new info on new dips and even snus, snusify posted there too.

I wonder what happened to it?

SM = Spike Molson, if I remember the name correctly. The forum was named after the owner of the website, who is somehow a pioneer for dip-related infos on the internet.

SMPOST had a snus-subforum that was quite vivid back at the end of 2006, when Snuson had 2 or 3 postings per day and approx. 10 members who could be called "moderately active".

They had a few dedicated and knowledgeable (and grown-up!) members who posted a lot of interesting infos about snus and harm reduction.

Unfortunately, SMPOST as a whole was already back then somewhat contaminated by, well, elementary school dippers , who posted "age-appropriate" and practically destroyed the forum within a few months for everyone seeking infos or a decent conversation. I never became a member there but some of our oldest members are SMPOST-refugees.

It certainly was a major burden for the admin and the moderators to keep the forum in a half-useable shape at least.

I also wonder if anyone has some background infos why it has been closed just now.

                    Cheers!

You talking about this site: http://www.smpost.com/search.php?uid....73521948&src= ?

Cause if you are, I say go for it, bring all those people here, PP could use a few ears to talk dirty into.

Pretty sure they had a .net address.

They did indeed ... and it now resolves to godaddy.com.

Hello, I am new to SnusOn.com, I cam upon while searching for reasons why my previous smokeless website was closed down. I was a member of SMPost.net for about 3 years. Yes, we did indeed have many underage "dippers in diapers" as we older members called them, which is why the site was having legal problems with advocating the use of tobacco. The older members on the site (25+) were a great help and provided tons of useful knowledge. Please do not think it was just ignorant children, although it later did become over run by them.

I'm glad to have found a seemingly mature website to discuss smokeless tobacco on. Cheers.

                              Welcome to SnusOn!

I used to read and even post a little on SMPost a couple years ago. It was pretty entertaining to read. A lot more was happening there than some other sites at the time. Of course I was just looking over there to pass the hours between posts here
