Yeah I think you are probably right about the wood. I do think your ukulele sounds nice but I am by no means a ukulele expert. Good song choice as well.

Excellent work. That looks and sounds great. Homemade instruments are the best. I used to make pennywhistles. Copper was my favorite material. It was a little heavy, but I liked the weight. Also, they make a good inconspicuous weapon :^D I always wanted to make PVC bagpipes, but never got around to it :^/

PVC bagpipes would be great! You should definitely make those.

Wow, man. That's wicked impressive. All-in-all, how many hours did that take you to complete?

I don't even want to guess on that. With all the planning and thinking about how to do it and the work put into it, probably well over 40 hours. A lot of that time I was actually either on calls or working on someones computer remotely though. It helps that I work from home and my office is in my workshop behind the house.

I could make another one a lot quicker though.

Is this what happens when you suck on too many prillas of Ettan Kardus? What's that old lady put in that stuff?

Seriously, nice handy work. I've heard worse "proper" instruments in the local used music shop. It has a nice timbre to it. Pretty song too.

                          That's awesome, Wayne.

I play guitar and have always wanted to teach myself to play harmonica and ukulele.

I actually ordered a harmonica this afternoon and was pricing ukes.
