Dissonant chords are built of tones that are not quite in harmony. It's hard to explain since I'm not a music theory teacher, but consonant chords normally sound "good" and dissonant chords sound "bad" or just a little unsettling like I said before. Found a wiki article that explains it a lot better than I can.

Julia Nunes is one of the reasons I picked up the uke in the first place. She is awesome. I would say it is probably easier. The chords are easier and there are fewer strings. If you want to check out some tutorials and stuff, go to ukuleleunderground.com. Good stuff over there.

Thanks man. I have actually been playing that one more than my makala and it still sounds real good. I just pulled this uke out the other day and started playing it a bit again. I need to finish my new one. Here is a pic of the one I am working on now.



Just need to order some tuners and it can be done in an hour.
