The 1st pumpkin I ever carved.

Turned out so good I decided to share. I also have a German Shephrd, and a stencil for a GS as well. So I will be carving this tonight. 1st time I was ever inspired to try. Now I will be doing it every year. Hope you like.

      Very nice.

This is one of my favorite layouts for past pumpkin carving:

Nice dog, just a dalmatian puppy a week ago. Maybe I should do something like that myself.

So what do y'all do with the pumpkin seeds?

Rinse then off and then slow-roast them in a low oven?

              Mmmm Mmmm Good!!

That's what I do with them. I love pumpkin seeds. Great job with the carving guys. I always wanted to do something more advanced, but I've only made the stereotypical jack head. I don't think I'll get a chance this year.

I soak mine in heavily salted water. That washes the stuff off, and adds salt. I then put them in a heavily buttered pan, and roast them at some arbitrary temperature. I don't make them often, and I never remember so it's different year to year :^D I want to say it's around 350F though.

I know a few people who roast their pumpkin seeds but I have no idea at what temp.

One dips the seeds in soy sauce before spreading them on cookie sheets, or whatever.
Another uses teriyaki sauce; and yet another uses some kind of hot wasabi concoction.
                            They're all delicious.

I try to visit each one while their roasted pumpkin seeds are still plentiful --
saves me from having to do my own!! Usually end up with goody bags of
                            deliciousness.

Hell no. I wish. It was a stencil. I am not artistic. I just took it slowwwwwww. I liked it so much, i did my shepherd too. I think the Shepherd turned out even better. lol. It was a blast and I will be carving every year now. I really enjoyed it.

And yes, we will be roasting the seeds. I love pumpkin seeds but have never had fresh roasted ones before, just store bought.

Here are both of my dogs. Thanks for all the compliments.
