I was about to say that. usenet used to be more of an egghead thing but they make it easy now. i am violating the first rule of binary usenet by posting this "never spread the usenet word". It is a conspiracy to keep usenet around for our children to use. if word gets out how good usenet is then more and more people will use them until the gov finds a way to shut them down. so officially usenet binaries are hard to use and really suck.

for us snusers i say screw torrents and file sharers, they are for kids and sissies. learn how to use usenet binaries. dont expect your isp usenet to be worth using. get an account at http://www.giganews.com. The first thing newbies say is "i aint paying for no usenet account". I say, fine keep spending your life waiting for some little file to show up on a torrent or in a file share program. then risk jail time and getting sued and then download it at 5 kbs for a day or two. Or learn usenet, solve all those problems and download at the max speed of your isp. hey ever wonder were all that 'scene' stuff comes from? Usenet the walmart of "sharers" but don't spread the word

That is a total bummer and it sucks to lose yet another freedom. When Napster was shut down I was devastated, because I had previously purchased all the music I had been downloading via Napster on vinyl. Then I was able to use Limewire to find the music I had already purchased on vinyl, but could no longer listen to because my stereo was obsolete. How many freakin' times do I have to pay for the same thing?

Edit: I bought the music on vinyl, then I bought it on 8-track, then I bought it on cassette tapes, how many times do I have to pay for the same thing? Yes, I'm as old as dirt, but how many times do I have to pay for the same thing?

RIAA lawsuits are a joke, it all goes to lawyers fees. This isn't about paying the artists, it's all about protecting record company profits.

Right. Who uses Limewire anymore. Torrents and uTorrent or another torrent client
are the only way to go.

In my personal opinion, the Pirate Bay's days are numbered. They are on too many people's hitlist.

The next deadline is Nov 26th when a decision from the appeals court is set to be handed down.
