After all the suffering that she inflicted on the working classes of our country I would say that anyone who lived through that era and came off worse could be forgiven for such an opinion.

The daughter of a shopkeeper in Lincolnshire, she was the worst advertisement for people starting off in a lowly position and making it to the top. All too often, people who achieve greatness from the working classes manage to put it all down to their hard work and dedication and expect everyone else to succeed in the same way. What they forget is all the good luck they have had along the way and when they don't acknowledge that they are as bad as the people who are privileged from the start of their lives ... and in many cases 1000 times worse.

Of course I don't wish Alzheimer's on anyone ... that would be bad karma ... two wrongs don't make a right and all that ...

I am Skell... and yet the BBC has an appeal no other news channel has... at least to me .... I have CNN, Sky and a few more, they are all loaded with ads and most presenters are just boring.

I know exactly what you mean, when I am abroad, who is the first news service I go to? The BBC, it reminds me of home and makes me feel good and proud to be British! lol

Nope but I can get RT on TV here, I find Euronews presents a good view of things but can be very very pro EU sometimes, RT is just Russian propaganda with a friendly face but quite often does present a down the middle view on some issues (before hinting that Russia would have done it better lol).

Here in the UK our PM Cameron has announced that if the Conservative Party get elected in the next General Election they will consider leaving the EU. Given that the UK ban on smokeless tobacco did not stand prior to the UK joining the EU then if the UK is no longer apart of the EU the ban would no longer apply.
