Altria to test market smokeless tobacco "sticks"

    http://online.wsj.com/article/SB1000...googlenews_wsj

Interesting. Apparently a Marlboro brand will be aimed at smokers and a Skoal brand aimed at Dippers.

Who knows. I've never tried the Camel Sticks so I dunno how it works. Maybe like toothpicks for those who still crave the hand to mouth of a cigarette.

Probably right, like 4mg per stick, last 1/2 hour. Anti's will jump all over it as being marketed to children cause children like sticks (f**cking idiots, don't get me started LOL)

                  sounds great...

I wonder when they'll come to Europe :^)

I'm sustaining anything that has to do with harm reduction and the "bankruptcy" of the biggest tobacco corporations.

sounds like they're toothpick sort of things to me. I can see the point of them but can't see it tasting good or providing enough vitamin N. You can get minty toothpicks already. Vile things. Maybe somebody has to justify their research job.

With all the different approaches that have been suggested and/or attempted of late,
it's more like 'let's throw a lot of crap against the wall and see if any of it sticks.'
Expensive, but still cheaper than doing some real R&D.

You have to wonder why these big tobacco firms are throwing so much money at these investments that will fail anyways? I mean, the US firms should be conserving profits considering how the percentage of smokers is decreasing.
