    FDA Tobacco Substantial Equivalence

Just saw a new article Larry did:

    http://www.snuscentral.org/latest-sn...ecig-orbs.html

Can anyone translate this? It's way too technical for me.

This sounds like it only applies to tobacco products sold inside US stores. Web stores should be exempt from this (especially if they're located outside of the US).

    That's how I read it.

Snus makers should register their products with the FDA anyways. Make Swedish snus readily available in the US.

I only glossed over it, but I can't be bothered to try understanding it. The FDA can do whatever it wants, and use any definition it chooses to without oversight from anyone. The specific wording of their rules doesn't matter, because they can change them at any time, or interpret them in any way they choose. The only thing to do is see what happens, and you'll know what the rules mean when they pass judgment.

I remember back in the old days(2 years ago :^D) when people were wishing the FDA would take control over tobacco. I was against it then, and didn't see any way this could help us. Unsupervised power is never any good, and nothing good will come from the FDA's involvement in anything.
