    Oliver Twists

What are Oliver Twists? I have heard of them but no one has ever been able to tell me. Is it just twisted tobacco??

        Hi Froo! Welcome to snuson.

They are tiny hard little bits of tobacco. They are a twist style but really not that sweet.

Tasty...but almost not worth the money.

Didn't like them, and not much nic from them, oh and expensive for what they are.

I rather liked the Oliver Twist Senior but I believe it's been discontinued. Straight tobacco taste but really little nic. Was a change of pace from smoking for me several years ago but snus is better than either.

I like 'em. Well, I am not fond of the Oliver Twist brand but I do like the Picanell brand. I use two or three pieces at once and don't spit. It's very stealthy but I tend to only use it when in an outdoorsy setting for some reason. Maybe 'cos toward the end I start to chew them and then I spit. but I do that 'cos I'm outside. They're good to at least try once.

I picked up a tin of these little rat turds a month back and quite enjoy them every so often nice sweet tobacco flavor and albeit the nic hit isn't anything special they do in a pinch

I tried some a while back, before I started using snus. Tiny little pieces of twist tobacco, you pop one between your cheek and gum, and can chew it a little to get more flavour/nic.

They're alright, but I've never seen the need to use them again since snus.

I've tried a sample pack of Oliver Twist Alaskan Mint (or something). It was alright, but not much of a nicotine hit. I think it's 2 mg/pastille, which is pretty little compared to snus. Although it tastes pretty decent.

The things are absolutely delicious. No, they don't pack a ton of nic but I've found that they can keep a nice little buzz going in between having a portion/prilla. They are made from twisted whole leaf tobacco.......I like that. Not pulverized, powdered leaf....not that there's anything wrong with that! Try 'double-barrelling' them.....with two in, the nic hit works for me.
                        Cheers.

I had an email back from the manufacturer and they are made from air-cured tobacco apparently though not sure if pasteurised... the eucalyptus one sounds right up my street though i don't know what the TSNA count for these things are.

Seems like the TSNA levels are a little higher than I snus (saw it somewhere on one of those websites), but I think they tasted pretty good. I needed 3-4 of them at once to feel anything, though...

Never saw any need for them after I found snus. If you're in a spot though, it seems like most discount tobacco stores have the stuff.

I use Oliver Twists when I need to be more discrete at work, I love the royal and tropical flavours. A much richer and sweeter taste then liquorice or anis snus. I don't use Oliver twist original, as I believe it is a fire-cured tobacco, with more tsna count. I wouldn't worry about tsnas from the others though, from what I can gather they are on the same level or less than Swedish snus.

Here are two reports on tsna levels, showing Oliver twist vs snus:

                              Tobacco Research Fund
                              BAT R&D
