I get the back drip too, I think it just goes with the snuff use experience.

I'm a relatively new snuffer, although I've used snus for the last three months to quit a long time pack a day cigarette habit. The weird thing is, I find the nicotene in snuff generally to pack far more of a wallop, and to last longer, than with snus (I usually use regular strength Los or Portions). The Toque varieties I've tried are actually rather unpleasent in this regard. While they smell fine, the nicotene sensation reminds me of a patch; my heart starts pounding and I feel weak, nervous and queasy. On the other hand, while I can feel a strong nicotene boost from some other varieties, they feel much more relaxing than the Toque varieties I've tried, which really feel like they contain something else that doesn't agree with me. Kind of like, the sensation I get from Copenhagen is very different than the sensation I get from General Los.

I haven't tried using snuff during work until today. I had a 15 minute break between two classes I teach, so I had a snack, and did a moderate hit of Poschl President in each nostril (which isn't reputed to be a high nicotene snuff), put a General Wintergreen in, and started to lecture. I had to take it out after about 5 minutes because I was starting to feel uncomfortable, which has never happened to me before with a General Normal Portion.

So I do get a lot of nicotene out of snuff. Plus it's a blast to have so many exotic flavors to choose from. I just got a sample of 5 Photo Himalaya that smells like what a Head Shop in Heaven must smell like. Still, I like having something in my mouth, so I plan on using the 30 or so cans of snus I still have in my freezer, and continuing to snuson. Either is much more enjoyable than smoking to me now; I've slipped a couple times and lit up a smoke, but couldn't get through more than 3 hits.

That is rather odd the Toque hits you in this way. I've found it one of the most refreshing and while not overpowering, very consistent in nicotine delivery. The flavors are so good, I don't mind chain-snuffing this for 5 or 10 minutes to get a nice dose of Vitamin N going.

This I can relate to. There is something about the General Wintergreen that makes me want to hurl. Sometimes just saying it makes me nauseous.

Welcome to the wonderful world of Nasal Snuff. I hope you will find this Guide both helpful and informative. I have tried to pool together information and resources that I have collected over my time using snuff so that you can have them all in one place. ...
