Working on getting ready for Schmalzler season as we head off into the fall next week. Pretty much only Poschl is available, my favorite non medicated is A, followed by D. Been hitting the Perselauter recently and i am not digging it as much.

RIP Bernard, the last of my Original will be saved for Christmas and I will be hoarding and slowly using my stash of Aecht Altbayerischer until it is gone forever. :-(

    Anyone doing Schmalzler season?

Got some Gletcherprise in, kicking out the last bit of the flu that had me down for almost two weeks. Nice to be feeling somewhat better.

Just got an order from Toque in and just tried the Otto Caribbean and it’s very nice but it is not Klostermischung.

I hope Roderick continues to attempt to replicate the Bernard snuffs though. I may very well like Caribbean better, I am not sure I have any of the original in my snuff storage.
Now I need to order Otto Forest cause I didn’t know about that when I ordered last time.

Definitely not a bad idea to quit it all if it makes you feel like crap and messes with your health condition. 57 is still young! I am not in as bad of shape as I don't have a health condition but I totally understand getting older and having to make different choices. It sucks!! I had to quit the nic pouches after needing a root canal right where I used to place the pouch. Did this everyday, all day long (literally, one pouch after another) for years, same spot til that happened. I ruined it for myself! That was an eye opener but it was Zyn...not real Swedish snus so who knows. This may not have happened. Our bodies require a different kind of fuel to run on as we get older., that is for sure!

Adding - do you collect tins or accessories? That brings me more happiness than using for the nicotine..breaking out all my snuff tins and boxes, gently smelling each, not really inhaling substantial amounts to feel it but just to smell it..makes for a lovely few hrs.

It was a different world back then, especially before PACT. I quit also for more than 10yrs, and recently did a revisit, but I'm still on the fence. I tried some nic pouches but I didn't like it. Only tobacco I have now is Grizzly Straight Pouches I got yesterday at $5.61.

Holy shit...some of y'all are still here on snuson!!! OMG! I quit ALL nicotine for several years but then decided to hell with it and jump back in. Got some 6 Photo MG Madras in my nose right now. So very sad to see the state of snuff now..quite dwindled down compared to 10+ years ago. There are still plenty of offerings but my once favorites are long gone...the windmill snuff, Bernards! American snuffs are damned near impossible to get too. I am so disgusted with myself for throwing away my old tins, automatic boxes by Poschl which are no longer to be found anywhere. Sad day.

PS - What is up with all the nicotine pouches nowadays!?

HDT as I work on the car. It’s too hot for snus and heavy work outside today (95 feels like 98) but at least the humidity is only at 39%. Tiny miracles.
