But snuff rocks! I'm as much into snuff as I am snus at this point. As far as nicotine goes, it is way different but you can sure as hell get a good buzz from snuff. Recently got some Rooster...holy shit that stuff kicks you in the ass.

First, what is it. Ground up tobacco into a powder. Flavored, different than snus. I get a "body high" from it. It hits much. much harder than snus. My body just feels really good using it.

How to use. First, DON'T treat it like coke or meth. You gently sniff it, you want it to go no further than just on the inside of your nose. You are NOT inhaling it. The nicotine is absorbed through the mucus membranes in your nose, similar to how nicotine is absorbed in our mouth with snus. So just a gentle sniff. Honestly, usually, I am doing no more than breathing deeply.

Initial dose should be no bigger than a pea. Adjust from there as you get some experience. You do too much at first, your head will hurt and it is not pleasant.

Studies have shown even less harm from snuff than snus. It is the oldest way of taking tobacco used in Europe, existed as such long before cigarettes. Snuff became a mostly British thing, so great snuff from all over their empire. Also snuff in Germany and some fine American made snuff as well.

I use snuff WITH snus. My snus takes care of maintaining my desired nicotine levels throughout the day. I just use snuff when i feel like that little "bump". Again, it just always makes me feel good and tastes SO good!!

If you are a newbie looking to experience snuff for the first time, I can not recommend Torque snuff enough. You can get it directly from them, or from nicotinerush.com, or even Northerner sells it now. For newbies, Torque is just easy, and all the flavors are fantastic. As you get more comfortable, there is literally a world of snuff waiting for you. Far more varsities than snus.

And if you are really serious, check out snuffhouse.org as well. Many folks from here a re there too, and they have some great how-to's on their site.

Sage, reading this has renewed my hope in snuff. I recently traded for some snuff, just wanted to try it to see what it was all about. I've tried it several times, none of which were pleasant to say the least, with little or no nicotine hit. After reading your info on snuff and usage, I know now that I've been SNORTING the stuff. Hell, I was swallowing most of it, or even spitting some of it out after the snort fest.

Gonna try again in a few minutes. Thanks!!

Very, very gentle, just breath deeply, you will see the snuff disapear and know you did it right.

Do let me know how the 2nd attempt goes.

Yeah, not to discourage anyone, snuff can theoretically have the impact of a strong cigarette (just like snus) but you need to have a big nose to get enough snuff inside and you must be pretty pain-insensitive too. Snus is maybe not better but MUCH easier to handle, I think.

Light ex-smokers may even become happy with nasal snuff as their only nicotine-source but ex-dippers or ex-smokers shouldn't expect too much. But as I said it's woth a try and the nicotine-impact really is pleasing. Snuff can somewhat be very helpful for people who want to get the cigarettes out of their mind for good (when used in addition to snus, if I may add this, solely based on my own experiences. Nasal snuff alone wouldn't be sufficient for me).

            Cheers!

Yeah, I couldn't imagine using snuff alone. The whole point was to get out of that knee jerk reaction for more nicotine every 20 minutes. But paired WITH snus, it is just sublime.

I've tried snuf on a few occasions. It's hard for me to use because I sneeze every time I use it...

That's just a phase that new folks have to work through. After a few weeks, I hardly ever sneezed any more. Maybe once a week now

Okay, only had one sneezing fit today, but once out of 5 times isn't too bad. I didn't snort it this time, just breathed in deeply, worked way better. Oh, and it smells waaaay better than when you snort it all the way into your nasal cavity and it ends up in the back of your throat..lol

Thanks for the advice Sage...I'm gonna keep playing with this.

I'm so happy you can at least give snuff a good chance rickcharles606.

I remember my first time, my head hurt so bad I thought it would explode I sniffed so hard. I then got some good advice here, and learned a bunch from snuffhouse.org. Just happy to pass along my experience from one slightly less snuff newby to another. I guess it has probably been close to tree months for me now.

Wow Sage that is really good advice. I got a Bullet of Toffee Toque with my order and believe that I did it the right way (as per your instructions).

I too had been turned off to snuff: a) b/c i got a shitty american brand b) b/c the first time i used it w/ my friends we were drunker than fish swimming in Utopia's Lake Vodka. Of course we did it wrong. Of course we wanted to look just like Al Pacino in Scarface. And of course it went straight to our sinuses/throat and right back out again through violent sneezing...

I am still a relative newbie myself, so remember freshly my own first attempt at doing it all wrong.

But I have desperately fallen in love with everything snuff. Even though I use far less than snus, I get equal pleasure from both, and snuff just hits parts for me that snus never could.

So I have taken it a bit as my mission to rightly guide folks, both those that never have and those that did but wrong. I just think other folks might come to love it as much as I doand if I can help nudge them the right way.
