I haven't had any real problems with it, I just take a small pinch and a quick sniff. Nobody sees anything if I merely turn to the side, and if anyone were to ask I'd explain. I don't like to do it really openly but I have used it in the back of class before. Must say it makes a boring lecture a lot easier to sit through.

I can't sniff very frequently in public though or my nose/face are liable to get pretty dirty. But a couple of pinches every hour haven't given me trouble yet.

I'm with Vegan, just go for it. I was in a bar in England a couple of years ago and had a few tins on the go. A real druggie/stoner type kept looking over, so I went up and offered him some. I could have been offering to send him to hell the way he reacted. "No way man, I don't do stuff like that". I just went back to my friends and we all roared with laughter. Snuffers here in the UK probably get the same sort of reactions as others around the world, but the good thing is the officials are wise to snuff even if the general public isn't. Although I have to say, I have had a young police officer start to question me but, an older officer just gave me a wink and put his junior right.

Sometimes it might be a bit harder to not care what others think, in specific settings. So i tend to stick to snuffin at work, where i cant be seen, and at places where frankly i dont give a rats as* what people think such as the pool, people were giving me nasty looks last week, and honestly, i started doing it even more just to give em something to talk about. otherwise, i tend to be pretty discreet with it.

I'm sure Wilsons do a white tobacco free snuff. The snuff i find funny in public is Toque Coke. So, when people ask i just say it's coke

I was at the bar once. I was sitting at the table and sniffing some snuff also giving it to my frend when some "nazi bouncer" came instantly and grabbed the box from my hands. He just asked that what is that and looked the can and was like ok and gave it back. LOL

I just ordered some snuff bullets since most people assume I am snorthing Heroin when I use the end of a Slurpee straw as a snuff spoon to sniff a brown powder. The last thing i need is a cop to see me taking a "bump" going down the road and hitting me with a paraphenlia charge.

I work in a low-cubicle office environment and I snuff and snus all day. I held up my snuff box today and asked if anyone wanted one. Nobody says crap to me about it. I do catch them looking at my mouth when I have a fat pris in though, but it doesn't bother me. My buddy on second shift comes in and asks for a snuff most days. He sneezes and everyone just laughs. I guess I work with good tolerant people and only one tobacco user among the bunch.

They don't want to try it ...

Most people aren't that open minded... they prefer to smoke the filthy cigarettes thinking that they're much safer because everyone smokes

    story time eh?

First time i observed a coworker doing it i was highly surprised because where i worked had random drug testing, and yes i thought he was doing coke, i was like damn man how you havent got caught ... he says its "snuff" ... asked him what that was and he let me try some ... that shit BURNED!! later every now and then when doing some he would offer me a little, and eventually i bought my own can, much to his amusement.

couple of times i was asked if i was doing coke, and as others have said in this thread, people seemed more disgusted when they found out it was tobacco

the best however, was i came home after a sunday of heavy drinking, and took a snuff in the street, (folks didnt know about it) ... next day got asked if i was doing drugs, no, dad then asked am i doing snuff ... figured the jig was up and fessed up ... he then told me to cut it out and cut back on the drinking too.

as for nose dripping, i tried to limit use in public and stuck to doing it in the car, mtn biking in the woods, or around friends who knew what was happening

I used to be one of those people who would look down on people who used snuff, and to me they looked like drug addicts (I just recently started, finished my first tin today). This was back in school, and now I have found out that almost all of the girls in my class snuffed collectively in the bathroom, so it was pretty common place/popular I guess. The weird thing is that snuff is banned in Lithuania (where I'm from), and it is quite popular among teens, my cousin always asks me to bring him some when I come home from London.

That can be said for just about anything around here.

Everyone's out to ban anything that doesn't suit their prejudices.

I live in the U.K and have no problem with snuffing in public, I think there still is a memory of snuff use here so most people pay it no mind. My sense is that in the U.S it is much easier to attract social disapproval.
I think snuff was as popular in the U.S just like it was in the U.K.

The problem is that the youth generation and teens don't have the smallest idea of what it is..

I've turned a few heads here in Europe by snuffing in public ... everyone was saying that I snort cocaine.
