I never tried the Cope Straight. I can't figure out if it's been discontinued or not.

I got new can of Cope straight on my hands with new warning label.I do recommend this. It has nice mellow taste. It tastes a bit like coffee but not sure.

Based on the poll at smpost, wintergree is the most liked dip flavor, and 60 some percent, and the next is Natural, as 30 something.

Copenhagen had a Black, but was dropped, then Cope had a Whiskey Blend, but I do believe that was dropped too.

I have boght the whisky and the hickory lately so cant be sure they're discontinued.

I do find it odd, that on the cope website there is no mention of them.

I think the whisky at least had. Didn't really care for the whisky. It had too less flavor of whisky. I did not feel the flavor but the hickory was better.

Interesting how taste buds can differ. I've been using T-wolf Straight for years and never would have described it as having a root beer or Dr. Pepper flavor. I would like to try the natural, but around here all I ever see is straight, wintergreen, mint, and peach.

It sucks when a person's tastes go against the grain of popularity. I not only experience it with tobacco, but it seems with all aspects of my life. Oh well.

Strange you say that! I was talking to UserID in another thread not too long ago about how I thought straight dip tasted like root beer to me. Which root beer tastes like pepto bismol to me. I don't like the taste of pepto bismol, hence I don't like the taste of straight dip.

Yet, for some reason I will pick up a can of it every once in a while. I think it's because I get bored with just the natural flavor after a while. Not a big fan of wintergreen or mint (though I do like them occasionally in the summer). I hate fruit flavored dip. So that pretty much leaves me with natural.

I really wish Pinkerton tobacco would introduce Timberwolf or Redman Black. A very bold, dark tobacco, with maybe a hint of whiskey. I know other brands offer a "black", but after initially switching to Swedish snus for the lower tsna, I just feel too guilty using a dip from a company other than Pinkerton. Pinkerton...are you listening? Redman Black!

As a matter of fact, after that very conversation, I just decided to start calling it Redman Root Beer Long Cut.
