Grizzly 1900. This is a great one.
I notice these dip/chew threads arn't used as much, but I guess that's only natural, as it's a snus forum mainly. But I am glad these exist, because most everyone here is a mature adult, and it's just not the same as other forums which cater to dip, as they seem mainly younger people.
What are you dipping/chewing now?

Sometimes I think I am losing my liking of oral tobacco.
I did feel this bag of Red Man original(green) just wasn't good to me, it had a sourness to it. I used about half the bag and pitched it.
I just opened a bag of Levi I bought last week, maybe I am buying too much at a time, and the stuff dries out some?
Anyway, this Levi is not bad, and to me, has a better tast than Red Man green.

I'm at work, I work alone 99% of the time, I just threw in a Grizzly Snuff Pouch. never had it before. But I am getting no nic buzz at all. It does have a good taste though. For some reason, Grizzly seems to be "on sale", even the grocery store a few weeks ago had it under $2, as this was. Maybe I should get a role of Grizzly 1900. But for me anyway, $2-$4 is not "expensive".

I was never into oral tobacco, I just used to smoke, then I stumbled onto snus, and then nasal snuff, then dip, and chew.
Right now: Red Man chew.
And I know I said I wanted to quit dip, but I've been wanting some Copenhagen Snuff, and I have a coupon, so I think I'll get some today.

Yeah, I used to use loose leaf. Then I went to dip. Then I found snus. Of course, I was smoker for about 10 years before I switched to smokeless tobacco. I only use chew occasionally when it seems appropriate, i.e. Fishing, Grilling, Yard Work or to just treat myself. The thing I like about plugs is the nostalgia. Like in the old westerns when they would pull it out of their pocket and cut a piece off with their knife. I really like old fashioned things and I'm fascinated by the old ways of life.Originally posted by truthwolf1 View PostGoing to have to try a bag of loose leaf sometime and compare. All I have is old memories of RedMan and Beechnut. I have a little intrigue about the plugs and would like to try a number of them before they are all gone.
Edit: OK, I just noticed you're from Minnesota. Yeah, I'm sure you're selection up there is a little different. But I'm really surprised they have Cannonball up there. You have soda. We have pop.

Cannonball was in a celli also. I put it in a plastic bag.
I think you southerners have a much better selection of this stuff then we have up north.

I hope they keep making the Redman plug. Although, now that you mention it, there may be something to it. The last two times I stopped at the smoke shop they didn't have any. So I got Levi plug. Then a couple of weeks later, I stopped by and they still didn't have it, so I got the Days Work. I liked Levi better for the flavor and texture. Days Work I liked because the plug is really tightly compressed, but I think it's a little too sweet and has a strange, but subtle undertaste (I don't think undertaste is a word, but it applies here). Also Days Work just comes in a cellophane wrapper (like crackers). I like the pouch better.Originally posted by truthwolf1 View PostNot sure if they are still making the RedMan plug because it looks sold out in many places. It also is not on the RedMan website.
Northerner does surprisingly have it though. I still have my cannonball plug from 2 or three weeks ago in the fridge. Only get a chew or dip urge about twice a week. Going to try the Days Work maybe this weekend and order a Redman plug next week.

I don't think I like the plugs. I guess they are OK, but to me, they have an odd grainy acidicness, something, it just seems different than a bag of loose leaf, the way it's cut and flavored. I don't think it's bad, so much, as I don't think I prefer it.

Never tried Beech-Nut. I've tried Levi, Redman, Taylor's Pride, and I'm still using that same plug of Days O' Work I picked up a week or so ago. Did you ever try that Cannonball you bought? If so, how was it?

Yeah I've got the same thing tom sore throat feeling like crap harder to breath. I quit smoking cigarettes and pipe tobacco but I'm still snusing and dipping though. Anyway Grizzly Natural LC. First dip so far it's raped my gum on the left side which was already wrinkly from a couple of half horseshoes of Cope LC Straight.
