Buy snus in the US, but Im not US citizen.

So the title says almost everything. Im from Norway and go to a college in Illinois. I just ran out of snus today and it hurts! I tried to order some from buysnus.com but the asked about my Us citizen number or something..
My question is; Can I buy snus in the US without being a US citizen?

That's a good question. We have ridiculous rules now, so it's hard to say how things will turn out. For the smoothest experience, it would be better to get a US friend to order for you, and just pay him in cash.

I have never bren asked to prove my citizenship. Something doesn't seem right.

Well, when u order.. You got to fill in your full name and at the bottom you have to verify your month and what year you where born. If that doesn't work, you have to type in the 4 last digits of your SSID or something.

Mostly to do with age verification, and shipping procedure. In your case, age verification is the problematic part. You'd have to show id to the UPS guy when he comes, and he could reject your foreign id. He shouldn't, but that's a wild card I wouldn't want to deal with. Anything that deviates from the norm is a potential failure point, and sometimes being right isn't good enough, at least for the (relatively)small monetary outlays we're talking about with snus.

Yea, that's your social security number(which is unlawful to use for id purposes...) that you don't have since you're not an American.

I don't know how that works with schools. Tobacco deliveries need an adult signature. I've always dealt with it in person. Third party signatures are another potential failure point. You could end up with a driver that wants to make a political statement, and is a dick about having someone else sign for it. That /shouldn't/ happen, but you never know.

It's probably because he's in America, but doesn't have the American documentation to back his age. Your age is tied to your credit card in most systems, and they check that way. If they can't check, they fall back to SSID which he doesn't have.

Well. I tried to create a new profile on buysnus.com, but when I typed in 02(month) and 1991(year), they still asked me about the 4 last digits of the SSID thing.
