$42.01 for 4 cans of phantom blue white portion (BC canada)

f-cking crooked basterds, i can't pay that. i am used to paying 30$ customs on a roll or two (back in ontario)

BC canada post employees should be shot.

So that's about $15 a tin shipped? Outrageous... If someone had a little bit of money, professionally smuggling snus could be a profitable occupation. It would take some $ to set it up initially, but that would be an enjoyable way of making money.

I've only had one order that was taxed by the Australian government. I had 22 cans arrive from The Northerner and customs sent me a a bill for $193 AUD. All up each can cost around $12, it would've been more but I received 2 cans extra that came through without being checked.

It'd be more expensive today since the Aussie government increased tobacco tax to $410/kg from the $320/kg rate when I got charged.

Over the last couple of months I've ordered 20 cans of portions and around 20 cans of loose without paying any tax Buysnus breaks orders to Oz into lots of 5 per shipment and I learnt my lesson from The Northerner and only order in 5 can lots from them. 5 cans seems to be sweet spot with Customs not bothering to bill when packages do get checked, in Australia anyway.

If I had to pay what others pay, I would quit for sure. I complain about my $5 a can.

this all just makes me sick. The cost of getting snus has skyrocketed terribly. I'm in Illinois so my state tax is about 18%. thats not outragous but the actual shipping costs have gone up also I see. Anyway, I'm sure glad I have about 150 tins left of OF coffe/vanilla I purchased before PACT. Those tins cost about $2.10 each.....including shipping. arr arr arr

gotta love OffRoad and their reasonable prices

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

I agree (and would kill for such a low tax) which is why I will keep doing the VIP subscription as long as it's available and after that... quit. I refuse to buy post PACT

If we all, well, everyone, just quit tobacco, the US would be like a 3rd world nation is a matter of weeks.

I keep hearing that the U.S. will collapse without tobacco taxes, I'm not sure though it's only what 3-5 percent of the economy and 5-10 percent of taxes, and besides if we didn't spend money on tobacco we'd spend it on something else. Hell we'd probably start eating more and they'd tax that. I do agree tobacco taxes are getting to the point on the laffer curve where they make less money, not to mention how regressive they are. For example in Wa. cigs used to be 3.50 like five years ago which I know because an old gas station that closed down had that sign, now they're 7.00 minimum, and rolling tobacco went from two fifty an ounce to 12-15 bucks. I also saw that Husky dip was 9.00 a log(10 cans) and now it's 4.50 a can. It can cost 8 dollars for a bag of redman in Wa easy.

Well the original order is on it's way back to Sweden
It's been 6 days since I cashed my bonus points in (roll GOTERAPE, 1 tin skruf los) = that means customs seized another package of mine

Anyone want to take a guess at what the charge on 11 cans will be? I'm guessing 85$ (I really feel like crying, it's like I lost a family member)

So I've had my most miserable week in years... over 7 full days without any nicotine, cold turkey is not fun at all. I am done with snus, it's been a good 4 years but every time I come back empty handed from the mailbox, I could actually drop down to my knees and cry. (i can't afford 15$/ tin in taxes)

This is such bullsh-t here in BC, I can't wait to move back to Ontario some day.

Dam Opie....its just not Mayberry anymore is it.

Maybe the snusers in the USA need to start adopting Canadian snusers and start sending care packages.

I would enjoy the hell out of a 2 year old can of Offroad Vanilla, it's gotten that bad.

I've got 4 cans being shipped from a friend out East. A new friend has offered up her PO box across the border in Washington for me to use. (she thinks I'm shipping snowboards) would PACT F_ck me on that idea as well?

Yea, no shipping via USPS. The only way that would work is to get a private party in the USA to mail the snus to the PO box.

Since i can't get down to washington very often, i would place 5-6 LARGE orders every year to last me. Will there be customs charges tacked onto UPS shipments?

You'll have state/federal taxes. If this thread has correct information, Washington taxes at 75% retail...

                              http://www.snuson.com/forum/showthre...Taxes-By-State

There's federal tax also, but it's insignificant compared to the state stuff.
