    Hope they had good dates.
I didn't even think to check the dates, and lo and behold, its outdated...6/18/10 dates on all of them. Oh well, its still good, tastes as fresh as any I've had. For $2.50 a can, I may go buy out the rest of their wintergreen.

They, and random people that walk in, don't know what it is.

I just bought 2 cans today at a local shop in Northbrook, IL. With tax, they were $9.88. $4.05 each plus $1.78 tax.

One was well within it's "best before" date, 9/16/2010 (Gen. Wintergreen). The other was well beyond, 1/26/2010 (Gen. Lös). By shaking the can, I can tell the lös is pretty dry. I'll see how it revives...

Edit: Oh, and no big scary warning labels on these. They look just like we used to get them, pre-PACT.

I had to restock and was on a road trip to minneapolis so found a cigar shop just off I35W - $5.99 a can. At least he had Los so i picked up two cans. Will have to make a run to Ankeny soon.
Starting to get tired of general though, really having a craving for some thunder frosted or berry or ettan or skruf!!!

I tried out another tobacco shop that was listed on General's site, and was thrilled to find that they've actually started doing a pretty decent snus business there. They said they were carrying it for close to a year and nobody was buying it, then a couple of months ago, some kids from one of the colleges have been buying it and business has picked up. The dates are December, and its the new cans with the ridiculously large warning label...first I've seen them, since I've been using my outdated stuff up until yesterday. $3.29 a can, not bad, pretty much what I was paying through Getsnus, without the shipping.

Cheapest I've found for General products is $5.25 plus sales tax. Still looking for a cheaper price locally.

I did a mock order on Northerner and came up with these numbers:

30 cans General Original Portion: $112.20
                    Tobacco tax: $12.90
                    Shipping: $15.30
                    TOTAL: $140.40

Since there are 30 cans and the total is $140.40, the final price for each can is $4.68

That is about 50 cents per can more than I pay at my local store ($3.99 + 9% sales tax = $4.17). And I only have to buy one can at a time.

My last order was for 10 cans from Buysnus that came out to $58. So, about 5.80 a can. My local is selling SM products for 5.50 and the other one's for 5.99.

or get any can from northerner for under 5$ shipped to my door (until now, they've been f-sking me lately.)

I have 2 stores locally that sell General products.... one is a tobacco shop and their price is with tax $4.95 per can and sell alot so it is always fresh.... The other is a cigar shop and is no more than 5 miles from the other one and sells it with tax for $7.40 per can... For the life of me I can't figure out why the cigar shop cost waaaay more and they have waaay more, But sell waaay less of it than the tobacco shop. the tobacco shop has a counter fridge, The cigar shop has the big standing fridge.... They should swap fridges
