I haven't gone into the city to buy any. But I checked out one cigar shop's prices on line. In Boston they are getting 8 bucks for General.

Never found any in my area, but even if you are getting a can for 3.99 if you buy a bunch at once the shipping charges will still be less than that 3.99 a can from the local store. Since you are paying over $0.40 a can for local and will probably be more than your shipping.

A lot depends on how steep the tobacco taxes are in your state. Those get added into the retail price before sales tax. Of course, the stated intention of PACT is to collect those taxes on online sales, so in theory it should even the playing field. But theory and practice are rarely the same.

About $6.00 with tax, not bad considering im in NY. I buy a few cans every now and then from the tobacco shop.

I went into a local cigar shop that was listed on General's site...I walked in, spotted a General Fridge, grabbed some wintergreen and original portion, went to the register, the guy was on the phone, apparently with his manager or the owner, and neither had any idea what they were supposed to be charging...I guess they haven't been selling a lot of it, so he looked at me and said "$2.50 a can? that sound about right?" I said sure, and went and grabbed a few more.

Fightin Phils...
I finally managed to find a local cigar shop that carried General Snus here in NW Arkansas. They were charging $2.50 a can as well. I asked if it was a promotional price and they said no. Needless to say, I cleaned them out of their white mint portions. They're not displaying it well, if you ask me. It was just a tiny little fridge tucked into the corner of the room. They said it hadn't been selling well and that they weren't sure how long they'd be carrying it. At this point, though, I'll take what I can get.

Hope they had good dates.
