Snus Forum?

While online yesterday, googling all things "snus", I came across a forum sort of like this one called SnusForum. It didn't seem to be as busy of a message board as this one. Is anybody on this forum also a member of SnusForum? If so, how does it compare to SnusOn.com?

I think I passed through there before I came here. If I remember correctly, most of the posts are porn spam.

Do you mean: http://www.snusforum.com/ ? It's an old forum, run by Buysnus - now only open for reading. I don't know, what kind of problems they had to close the forum, more than one year ago, but some of our members also posted there.

That happens to all phpbb forums unless you go out of your way to hack some proprietary code into the registration process. This forum was suffering from it as well, but after I added in the "name the snus" picture-question on the registration page it all stopped. Robots don't expect it to be there - denied! 8)

Nice one Zero I wondered why all the spamming stopped. I remember when we had to delete a load of it.

We have the same kind of thing in this Finnish forum I'm a moderator in. Since we had huge problems with foreign porn-spanners, the "chief" made an excellent decission for stopping spammers. Now when registering you'll have this sentence - "Matilla on uusi auto", then you'll have to write the name mentioned in it's basic form. Not so easy anymore, I bet.


"Name the snus" thingy here got me pretty confused at first, but I managed. Yay! :P
