Northerner Question

Hello All,

This is my first post and I'm new to snusing. Don't ask how I started to get into this. I've also been a fan of the simpler of life. A good beer or wine, a nice cigar, a good shave with a badger hair brush and DE razor, and somehow snus might make its way into the category. Anyway, it's good to be here, but onto my question...

I placed an order at Northerner. I ordered 4 separate portions to get started. According to my girlfriend, only one of them got shipped in the mailbox and there was a stamp on the package that said, "Received in damaged condition".

1.) Is it normal for orders to be broken up like this when shipped?
2.) Should I be worried about the "Received in damaged condition" stamp even if the package seems fine? I still have yet to view it myself.

From what I can tell there's been mixed reviews for Northerner. However, it won't bode well for them if my first order with them turns out to be unsatisfactory.

Enjoy your cigar every so often and don't progress into tobacco addiction further. That does not make your life more simple but in more ways that one bring about a difficulty that's hard to understand and harder still to break.

But Northerner is alright. Haven't had a problem with them really.

Welcome Ringer, no that's not normal. Once you take a look yourself, if there are damaged and/or missing cans send them an email, and PM Fredrik from Northerner here on snuson if you don't get a reply. They will fix you up and replace what was damaged or not sent, I bet.

Thanks for the response. I don't plan on getting to the point with snusing that I'll be worried about becoming addicted to nicotine. In the same token as the other activities I mentioned, I only enjoy them once in a great while. This seems to done more out of curiosity at this point and it for all I know that could be the extent of it.

Roo - I sent them an email and I hope to hear back soon. In the mean time, I'll be trying the General White Portion in the next few days. I hope to enjoy my first experience.

I feel you pain. I'm about to make the same mistake, however mine likes to piss on my nasal snuff.

Oh, and Welcome. PS: Don't listen to Liandri, he's still got fiberglass shaving stuck in his gums from chewing so much of that nasty American Dippin tobaccy and I think it effects his moods adversely although I can't get him to admit to it.

UPDATE:

I emailed Northerner as well as sent a PM to Fredrik. I haven't heard back from either. As it stands now, I got 1 out of the 4 I ordered right away. The second one, which was out of stock apparently, just came in yesterday. However, on the order sheet that came yesterday, it said that the two which I didn't receive were shipped along with my first package. Do I stand a chance to get those two back? Do I send yet another inquiry on Northerner site or try to reach Fredrik again? I'd like to get my hands on them since I have paid for them.

That doesn't sound right. Northerner usually responds pretty quickly. How long ago did you email Northerner? If it was within the last day or so you might wait until Monday or Tuesday before trying again.

I sent Fredrik a PM on 6/2 and sent a message on Northerner 2 or 3 days before that. It's been about a week now.

Try again on the web page. I have emailed them a few times and always got a response in a day or two.
