Well, I just got back from Tinderbox. I picked up 2 cans of General and I spoke with who I believe was the manager.(nice guy BTW) I wanted to hear the snus story from his side of the counter. Right now, all these guys have access to is just your basic line of General except Los. I believe he said they were trying to get Onyx and other Swedish Match items but couldn't right now. I asked if he had any other kinds besides General and he said, "Well if you mean that Marlboro or Camel stuff, then the answer is never. I'll never stock that stuff in my store." I thought that was funny, but I really meant other stuff like GR or Tre or Grov. No yet, but they're trying. He said that snus is really taking off in his store, and that we'd be surprised how many people go in asking for Swedish Snus. He's saying it's selling really well. He told me that as soon as I left, he would call up his distributor and see what else he can get his hands on. Maybe Northerner could talk to these guy eh? All in all, I had a great conversation with someone who seems to be genuinely passionate about Swedish Snus. By the way, I was sure to mention snuson. I told him that this is THE place to go with anything snus related and that there's a great many movers and shakers who post here. So hopefully he'll drop by. He'd be a great part of the forum: A B&M guy who sells this stuff every day. Who knows?

Oh yeah, he did tell me that not long ago someone came in asking for Claq. Wadetheblade? That you perchance?

Thanks for information. I live in Hattiesburg, MS...so not too far from Mobile.

I bought some General Los at a Don Juan cigar store in New Orleans back in January of this year (the cans were dated August 09). The gal working the counter gave me two cans of it for $4.50 since it was out of date...along with some sample packs.

It is nice to see snus gaining some popularity closer to home!

Cigars and More in Trussville sales General for $3.99 a can.

Also, there's a tobacco shop near the Galleria that sales General for $4.99 a can.

We need an Alabama Snus get together.

First of all, my apologies to the Birmingham people. I was in town this past weekend and took advantage of actually being able to walk into a store and buy General. 9 cans later, the Tobacco Store near the Galleria is a bit light on original and white portions until the next re-stock.
Second of all, it was mentioned above that they're selling for $4.99 a can, but they have everything listed now at $4.25 a can (which includes original, white, original loose, Wintergreen, Mint, and mini Mint).
