I got 20% added to my order with snus.com if VAT tax and UPS duties & customs fees count. :evil:

What did you enter in your address to get VAT? I placed an order with snus.com but it did not go through their payex system and Fred helped me reorder the items on Northerner. I have never been charged a VAT tax. The UPS is usually a more expensive shipping option that they might have used to get you your snus faster. Northerner and snus.com don't really have any control over customs fees that they might impose in the process. My guess is that they were just trying to expedite your shipping. I am curios though, how much was the order and customs amount?

That would suck to get a bill like that. I don't think that there is anything you can do about the customs fee as that seems like part of the risk you take when you order snus but I am willing to bet that snus.com will refund your VAT tax if you ask.

Thanks for the suggestion. I had already tried to contact them and emailed via their site and just got ignored, thus I started my tirade hissy fit here and announced my boycott of both Snus.com & Northerner via the "other" thread.

I'm just trying to be a good boy (as much as I can now) and keep quiet for the most part even though my penis shrivels up and my asshole puckers shut everytime I hear a "Praise Ye To teh GrEaT Northerner" comment.

Sucks to be screwed then ignored. I would have at least expected a "reach-around". :roll:

I will try to use restraint now and not further poison this beautiful thread.

I still got an issue to be solved with northener, but since they dont even respond tio my emails...

even though i pay EU tax and tobacco tax, the invoice that comes inside the package never showed that, it only came with the "American" price...
and that leaves me with a question, since i pay the tax it should been stated on the invoice...

Northerner is maybe good for small single cans orders, but when you order bigger amounts of rolls their are really expensive (like 30-35% more than normal Swedish tobacco stores selling rolls), buysnus is much better deal... you can save over 200 SEK on bigger rolls orders (6+).
I guess their high prices come out from their big popularity...
Bonus products make no difference as most snus cans you can get as bonus are the cheapest stuff on the market like Phantom, Knox, Thunder, Kronan... (not in online shops which have huge prices for these). You don't want to know prices of these in Sweden... Knox ~200 SEK, Kronan ~220 SEK, similar for Phantom...cheapest stuff

I decided to do some comparing on most popular brands and current special deals they both have

Examples (total prices with Fedex shipping for Northerner and UPS for Buysnus, everything counted as for EU destinations)

Ordering 6 rolls of General OP:
Buysnus - total 2413 SEK
Northerner - total 2617 SEK

Ordering 6 rolls of General ES Portion (promotion at buysnus now):
Buysnus - total 2358 SEK (+ 12 cans FREE! - total 72 cans)
Northerner - total 2625 SEK (60 cans)

Northerner has Skruf Stark free offer now so let's give it a try and order 6 rolls:
Northerner - total 2625 SEK (60 cans + 1 free...pfff)
Buysnus - total 2358 (60 cans + 1 random free)

So yes...northerner is really expensive.

For small amounts, both should be the same. But I guess that most regular snus users order 20+ usually to save on shipping.
