    Snus in France

    Hi all!

    I'm new here.
I was wondering; has anyone ever ordered snus from France ? and what was the outcome ?

    Is it legal ?

    Thanks.

I thought snus was not allowed in most of Europe but you might try to go to a store like Northerner.com and see if you are able to select your country when you place an order. It must really suck to live in a country that tries to ban stuff like snus but we are also on the verge of partly banning it in the United States as well.

As long as it's the EU I think it can be imported. I don't think we've had Frenchmen here before, so I can't tell you for sure. I have no idea what tax and tariffs are like.

      Welcome to SnusOn :^)

Snus is not allowed to be sold in the EU, with two exceptions. However, snus itself is legal, and legal to import for personal use. It is not a country ban, it is an EU ban.

Now France may have it's own laws regarding the importing of tobacco, but that is another issue.

Snus is perfectly legal in Europe, just can't sell it as such.

Yep, you can order it for personal use. Just check laws regarding how much you're allowed to import at once. Most countries have laws stating you can import up to a certain amount of tobacco duty free, usually around 200g. According to one site, these are France's duty free import limits:
            Import regulations by France customs

            Import:
            Tobacco products
            200 cigarettes or
            100 cigarillos or
            50 cigars or
            250 grams of tobacco

Anything above that, you risk being taxed further duties should you package be seized by customs, although I believe all applicable taxes should be applied when you purchase from any webstore based in Sweden, as they're within the EU. I'm fairly sure some British members have said taxes are appropriately applied for them, but I'm not in an EU state, so I couldn't say for sure.
