It's pretty much the same thing. Camel Snus portions are basically white mini portions.

If you liked the Frost from Camel, though, the Mocca Mint is probably a good choice to try. It has a strong mint presence, but you can also start to tell (and possibly enjoy) the difference between Camel and traditional Swedish snus.

Also, good to see another Hoosier on here.

Go for a white portion with a flavour, is my advice, they are the easiest to use.

Haven't tried the Wise snus yet... they seem really tiny and weak. I think I'd need half a tin just to get something going with them

Agreed, Zero, but in the US, snus is a very, very new concept, and Camel's implementation is significantly different than the traditional options available. I think that for anyone interested in migrating from the Camel snus experience to the Swedish brands, starting with white minis is very helpful. It's kind of how I came across to being hooked on the way that Swedish Match et. al. do things.

My first 2 swedish portions I liked after trying the Camel Snus (I used 'original' Camel) were the Diplomat white portions, and Knox mini portions.

Camel just didn't do it for me, but I do agree about the mini portions. When I got into the Swedish stuff, Goteborgs Rape white mini portions really rocked my world. After a few days of those, I got into the Roda Lacket white portions and moved on to Ettan regular portions and then it was all over for me. I haven't used mini portions since, but their lower nicotine content definitely helped me at first, as I initially found the nicotine punch of regular portions to be a bit overwhelming. The first Swedish snus I tried was Ettan regular and the nicotine hit me so hard that I could barely stand up.

What are the prices at the place in Louisville as compared to online retailers (per tin)? I'm fond of General, and if I can come up with a decent reason to be near Louisville in the near future, I might have to make a trip.

                              Two Dollars fifty Cents.

                              plus 6% state sales tax.

Booyah! It's worth the trip. I think you pay around $3.20 online for a tin, not including shipping.

Old man Kremer just ordered a few fresh rolls.

Let's see... White portion expires Jan. 30, 08. And this tin of loose I just bought will expire on November 21.

Come on down, horse racing starts at Churchill soon! We want your Indiana money, lol.

Hey, I'm stuck in the middle of the state, so it's either three or four hours north to Hobart (I'm assuming) or (again assuming) an equal or greater drive south.

Do they only have General, or are there any other SM brands?
