Will the northerner ship montecristo to US?

Sorry if this has been answered already but does anybody know if Northerner will ship montecristo or Romeo y Julieta to US?

I see that I can place and order but didn't want to go through the process if they won't ship it.

Northerner doesn't ship the Cuban snus. I believe there's some other companies that have in the past, but I've never used them.

You can place the order but the Cuban will be stripped out of the order at the last 2nd.

There are places, but you will never see them posted here. In the past, people posted places that would ship, and after posting about it, the places stopped.

I have had it once. Was good, not great, certainly not something i feel I need or really want badly.

I had some awhile back. Cuban tobacco is funny. it's meant to be smoked in a cigar. Tried it in a pipe. tried in in snuss. Sorry Fidel. it does not translate.

I have had Monte and R&J snus, they are not bad but not worth the hassle when we have so many other choices that are just as good.

Of course they do, but not to the U.S.A.

The "Land of the Free" is the only country in the world with a ban on Cuban products AFAIK.

Besides of that, Cuban cigars are superior but Cuban tobacco is quite likely not meant to be used for snus. I've only tried Montecristo lös and it was just overflavored with bergamot, maybe to mask the taste of the tobacco. I didn't bother to try Romeo y Julieta, because it's told to be even more flavored.

            Cheers!

I really liked the heavy bergamot flavor of the Montecristo lös. It also had a heavy dark tobacco flavor in the background which I enjoyed. If it were easier to get, I'd buy it regularly, but the price combined with the hassle makes it not worth it. Gotland Gul is close enough, and I prefer it for an all day snus.

As a side note I kind of like old Fidel. He gave the US a big FU about 60 years ago, and he really hasn't done too badly for himself all things considered. I'm hoping the ridiculous embargo gets lifted soon. It'll be better for all parties concerned.

I was wondering about this too and now I see I don't have to start a thread about it. Search is great thing in forums, if it works.

I quite like Montecristo, when I can find it fresh and moist. I read that it sells out quickly in parts of Stockholm where nouveau riche kids hang out so I think that I'll try that the next time the urge comes on. I wish it came in plastic cans, though, and that goes for all snus. Metal cans may be fun for collectors but they can't be as good at keeping your stash moist. And they lack the lid on the lid.

But they do complicate things for themselves, don't they, with a product that they cannot sell in the rest of the EU nor in the US. Maybe they're banking on Obama's lifting the emabargo. For that to happen that Raúl guy needs to step down too. Do it hombre, for the snus lovers of America.

For those who have tried MC and RJ...

Are there any non-cuban brands that taste similar?

                    The Taboca is close Dvnt.

It's not as strongly flavored. You're not missing much believe it. One of the only snus out there where a lot of guys preferred the portions to the loose.

Yea, the Taboco portion is similar, but I found the lös disappointing. Not bad, but not like Montecristo lös. Gotland Gul Lös is closer in flavor. For the RJ, Gotland Grå is the closest, and my preference regardless of ease of purchase or price.

I love the Taboka lös. It's the only snus that I have ever ordered a roll of. It's not Monte, close but no cigar. I prefer it over Monte, the flavors are similar, but similar in the Granit/General way. Different but close.
