Northerner...this really scared me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I too wanted Northerner to succeed despite all of the problems, but now, due to their prolonged poor performance over a number of years I actually hope that there will be somebody who has the time and money to legally challenge this company's methods, if there is in fact a legality to be challenged (I choose my words carefully)

From my experiences - I would say I'm 95% sure that the bozos that work in the Northerner US warehouse just don't refrigerate it at all. The snus I used to get from the swedish warehouse was always in tip-top condition (back in the good old days!) ... as soon as they moved to sending from the US to the UK, almost every order I have placed has been dried up and tasting of cardboard ... even when it was well within the expiry date. From my own experience of leaving unopened snus cans in the car - it is very easy to spot snus that has been stored in a warm place: dried out, the pouches are uniformly light brown and faded and the smell is of the paper in the portions rather than the tobacco.

I'm afraid that US warehouse is a death-camp for snus. It only comes out dead.

That doesn't excuse you getting snus that is clearly 2 months past the expiry though ... you should complain knowing full well they are Northerner and don't give a f*** about you!

Aha! Thanks for that Heders ... so the can is not out of date ... you need to peel further in order to see the bäst före date ...

Yup looks like it was made in June, best before should be sometime near November or December. Thanks for pointing that out Heders.

My last order from them went very well. I believe I ordered on Tuesday and had fresh los on Friday. I also got an email after I placed the order and then a tracking number after it was sent. I placed another order on Friday. It is still pending but hopefully everything will be sent after the weekend. I think they may lose money on this promotion. I did a test order of 20 rolls of Chess and it came to about $15.00 with free shipping. It would be really nice to be able to get free shipping again. Maybe they will consider something like free shipping if you get 3 rolls of snus at the normal price in the future. I HATE the idea of having to pay $40 for shipping.

I did peel the label more and it tore the date but Bast Fore appears to be some time in 10 of 13.

The Prima Fint snus was not expired.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Still missing ten cans from the shipment that the invoice says was shipped so I'll see how that goes.

My shipping was lightning fast as well so credit where credit is due.

I hope people keep posting experiences as they do seem to be improving on the whole.

Personally, I was nervous to order from them due to so much bad press recently and might not have tried had they not had free shipping and Chess at .80 cents. Pretty sure they would be losing money on this but at least it looks like they are trying to get our business back.

Northerner seems to be really trying so want to be fair.

After seeing tens cans on the invoice that were not in the box I was wondering if anything else would be wrong. Have gone through lots of Ettan and Prima Fint over the years and doubt I've ever even noticed two dates.

Again, really hope Northerner keeps improving and hope more people give them a second chance.

Well then I take my comment back too but given Northerners history we can't be blamed for getting edgy. As I've said before, it's going to be a long time before I could trust them with my extremely valuable lifeline of snus delivery.
